Design and Display

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G shares similarities with its predecessor, the A06, featuring a monotone pattern and lines on the back. The device is slim, measuring 8mm in thickness and weighing 191g. The display boasts a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1,600px and a 20:9 aspect ratio, with a peak brightness of 800 nits. A standout feature is its 90Hz refresh rate, which enhances the viewing experience. The A06 5G also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, absent in the A06. Durability is another plus, with an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water. The phone comes in three color options: Black, Gray, and Light Green.

Performance and Battery

The Galaxy A06 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which includes two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2400 MHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2000 MHz. This chip is a significant upgrade over the Helio G85 in the A05 model. The device offers multiple RAM and storage configurations: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB, with expandable storage via a microSD card. It runs on Android 14, coupled with Samsung’s OneUI Core, and promises two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 25W wired fast charging.

Camera and the rest

The rear camera setup of the Galaxy A06 5G includes a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8, autofocus) capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps and offering slow-motion recording (720p at 120fps). It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor (f/2.0) housed within a notch. Connectivity features include USB-C (v2.0), Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device also supports Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and various 5G bands, ensuring solid connectivity.
