Design and Display
The Galaxy A06 sticks to the familiar Samsung style for budget smartphones, featuring an all-plastic build, a U-shaped notch display, and a noticeably larger chin at the bottom. Moreover, the camera design remains consistent, with a protruding lens and an LED flash positioned beside it.
As for the display, it boasts a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. Furthermore, a notable upgrade in this model is the introduction of a 90Hz refresh rate, replacing the previous static 60Hz.
Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy A06 comes with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. Besides, this 12nm processor supports 4G connectivity and includes two Cortex-A75 cores running at 2.0GHz, alongside six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Graphics are managed by a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Also, the terms of memory and storage options, the phone offers choices of 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
On the software front, the device runs on Android 14 with Samsung’s OneUI Core. Additionally, Samsung has committed to providing two years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
Camera and the rest
The Galaxy A06 features a dual-camera system, including a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP front-facing camera.
Moreover, the phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
