      Samsung Galaxy A08 Overview

      Design and Display

The Galaxy A08 keeps the simple, clean design of its predecessor, with a glossy finish and a vertically arranged, oval-shaped camera island on the back. It measures 8mm thick and weighs 197g, making it slightly thicker and heavier than the Galaxy A07. Samsung also upgrades the durability with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, while the phone comes in Dark Blue, Green, and Silver.

Up front, the phone features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with a 1600 × 720 HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung has retained the U-Cut notch for the selfie camera, which gives the display a more dated look compared to newer punch-hole designs.

      Performance and Software

The Galaxy A08 continues with the MediaTek Helio G99, the same 6nm chipset used in the Galaxy A07, so there is no major performance upgrade this time around. It should handle everyday tasks, social media, streaming, and other light workloads without much trouble. The phone comes with 4GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of storage, with support for microSD expansion.

On the software side, the Galaxy A08 runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.0 out of the box. Samsung also promises six years of major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, giving the phone long-term software support.

      Camera and Extras

The Galaxy A08 has a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor on the back. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP front-facing camera, making the setup fairly straightforward for everyday photography.

The bigger upgrade comes in the battery department, with a 6,000mAh cell compared to the 5,000mAh battery on the Galaxy A07. Samsung claims up to 19 hours of video playback, while 25W fast charging is available for quicker top-ups.
