Samsung Galaxy A18 4G is a new mid-range phone that comes as a successor to last year’s Galaxy A17 4G. The phone is available in three different colors.
Samsung Galaxy A18 Overview
Design and Display
The Galaxy A18 4G retains the glass fiber-reinforced polymer body seen on its predecessor, measuring 7.7mm thick and weighing 196g. It also gets an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes and is available in Grey, Light Blue, and Black.
On the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2340 × 1080 FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung continues to use a U-Cut waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera instead of moving to a punch-hole design. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Performance and Software
The Galaxy A18 4G is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1610 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone also supports microSD expansion, giving you the option to add more space for apps, photos, and other files.
On the software front, it runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.0 interface. Samsung is also promising six years of OS and security updates, which should keep the phone supported with new software and security patches for an extended period.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the Galaxy A18 4G features a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 13MP front-facing camera housed inside the display notch.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W wired charging. This combination gives the A18 a sizeable battery for everyday use, while the 25W charging support helps top it up when needed.
