Design and Display
The Galaxy S25 has a 6.2-inch 1080p+ LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. It is slightly slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. The phone uses an Armor Aluminum frame with recycled materials and has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Performance and Cooling
The Galaxy S25 is powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering a 37% improvement in CPU performance, 30% better GPU power, and a 40% faster NPU. It includes 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The phone also features a 40% larger vapor chamber and improved thermal interface material for better heat management.
Battery and Charging
The phone has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging, capable of charging up to 50% in 30 minutes. It also supports 15W Qi wireless charging but lacks Qi2 compatibility.
Camera Features
The Galaxy S25 has a 50MP main camera, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The front camera is 12MP. The phone supports 10-bit HDR video recording and improved noise reduction for low-light videos.
Software and Security
The Galaxy S25 runs on One UI 7, based on Android 15. Samsung promises seven years of software and security updates. The phone includes post-quantum cryptography for data security and a Personal Data Engine that processes sensitive information locally.
