Design and Display

Design-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is not much different from its predecessor, the Watch 5. First of all, a similar case with the same button style. But aside from that, Samsung continues with the aluminum build for the case. And the "Classic" variation is bringing back the rotating bezels, but no luck for the normal version. Moreover, the bezels are thinner, meaning a larger screen can be packed into the same size. A 20% larger screen, to be exact!

On the flip side, the Galaxy Watch 6 has two configurations of size: 40/44mm. The 40mm version ships with a 1.3-inch sAMOLED screen with 432x432 px resolution, while the 1.5-inch (480x480 px) is for the 44mm variant. Protecting all these are the sapphire crystal glass and a 5 ATM + IP68 rating on this watch. Furthermore, it is certified as MIL-STD-810G compliant. All these have a compact weight of 28.7g and 33.3 g, depending on your variant. Both sizes have a common graphite color option. However, the Gold option is exclusive to the 40mm version and the Silver option to the 44mm version.

Performance and Software

The Watch 6 gets its own new chipset, the Exynos W930. This chip is built on the same 5nm process as the previous generation W920, which powered the Watch 5. In fact, even the model number is the same. Moving on, the watch is available with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. With all the above, Samsung confirms an 18% performance boost from its previous generation. Besides, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and all are normal for the Galaxy Watch 6. However, configuring it with 4G LTE will set you back an extra $50, or around 4.1k rupees here in Nepal.

Health Tracking and Features

The base variant of Watch 6 embeds all these classic health features, such as heart rate monitoring 24/7, SpO2, women's health tracking, blood pressure management, and skin temperature measurement. Additionally, it can provide better insights into the sleep cycle and such, thanks to improved skin temperature sensors and heart rate monitors. All this is possible due to the 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor included in the watch. Other than that, this 6th generation Watch can also detect falls, measure ECG, send you heart rate alerts, and much more. Further, the Watch 6 offers an extensive range of over 90 workout modes, catering to a wide variety of activities including walking, running, cycling, swimming, weight lifting, and many others.

Battery

The size has increased on the battery side too. The 40mm wearable comes with a 300mAh battery, while the 44mm one has a much larger one, i.e., 425mAh. And, it supports 10W wired charging as well as wireless charging.
