Design and Build

The Atom Buds 2 use a soft-touch rubberised finish and are rated IPX4, so they’re sweat- and splash-resistant, but not suitable for full water exposure. Similarly, they come in Ebony Black, Pebble Grey, and Pebble Blue color. You also get typical touch controls that support basic playback, call management, and voice assistant access for Google and Siri.

Audio and Noise Cancellation

Ultima equips these with dual 10mm drivers and “Supreme Sound” tuning. You also get Active Noise Cancellation(ANC), which reaches up to 32dB, paired with a transparency mode. Moreover, you are also getting the quad microphones handle ENC during calls. The audio codecs are just basic (AAC and SBC) as one would get in earbuds in this range. Following that, there’s also no Hi-Res codec support. 

Battery and Connectivity

Similarly, the battery capacity is also very decent. As Ultima claims, these earbuds can give up to 7 hours per charge without ANC and 5.5 hours with ANC. With multiple recharges from the case, total playback can reach 120 hours at 60% volume. The charging speed is also decent enough. As supported via Type-C, 10 10-minute charge can provide 2 hours of playback. And finally, the connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.4, which supports multipoint connectivity (it lets you connect two devices simultaneously) and IWP instant pairing.
