The Vivo V40 5G boasts a sleek design with a matte finish and curved edges, giving it a modern and premium look. At just 7.58 mm thick, it feels visibly slim, with a glass back panel that adds to its elegance. Notably, the device has an IP68 rating, offering dust and water resistance for durability. In terms of colours, the Nepalese market gets Nebula Purple and Moonlight White. On the front, the Vivo V40 5G features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, providing a vibrant visual experience with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Additionally, the screen covers 100% DCI-P3 and 105% NTSC colour gamuts, making it perfect for vivid, colourful images.
Performance and the rest
Under the hood, the Vivo V40 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, an eight-core chip clocked at up to 2.63 GHz and built on TSMC's 4nm process. This ensures solid performance for a midrange device. There is a sole 12/256GB trim available in Nepal. Unfortunately, the device lacks a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate its 50MP cameras, including the primary and ultrawide on the back, as well as a selfie sensor on the front.
