Alongside the new 18-inch gaming laptop, Asus has also updated its 16-inch portfolio with the redesigned Asus TUF A16 (2025) and TUF F16 (2025). Here, we’ll take a brief look at these new machines, their features, and expected price in Nepal alongside availability.
Asus TUF A16 and TUF F16 (2025) Overview
Design and Display
The 2025 TUF gaming laptops get a re-design with a cleaner lid and improved thermals. There’s a large exhaust at the back with intake on the bottom but exhaust vents on the sides are gone now. The hinges are new as well and the front looks extra modern and minimal without the fancy LED or vents. Don’t worry though, as the accentuated WASD keys are here to stay with a single zone RGB backlit keyboard. The laptops weigh around 2.3 kilos measuring less than 18mm thick at their thinnest points.
As for the display, you can spec your TUF with up to a WQXGA IPS screen that refreshes at 165Hz and can go up to 400 nits. The 16” panel will have a 16:10 aspect ratio with response times as low as 3ms and cover the whole of the sRGB color gamut.
Intel, AMD, NVIDIA Party
The new TUF gaming laptops get a big spec bump with new processors across the board from AMD, Intel as well as NVIDIA. For the A16, you can go with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 260 while the F16 offers options with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX. Talking about the GPU, you get NVIDIA’s shiny new 50-series cards up to the RTX 5070 with 8GB of GDDR7 memory and 115W TGP.
For the memory side of things, you can go up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and up to 2TB of NVME Gen 4 SSD. To keep things cool, these laptops now have a full-width heatsink, Arc Flow fans V2, and the full-width heatsink we mentioned earlier.
Connectivity and Extras
Lastly, the battery size remains the same at 90Wh with support for up to 100W via the Type-C port. Other ports include another Type-C (USB4/Thunderbolt 4), two Type-As, an HDMI, an ethernet port, and an audio jack. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
