In this article, we’ll be taking a look at the best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal. Right now, there are a lot of options among midrange phones, especially in the 30K price segment. The main reason for this is the purchasing power of the majority of the Nepali audience. Hence, every major smartphone brand has at least one offering in this price range.

How to find the best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal?

These Android phones offer excellent value for money with good performance and other features at a midrange price point. For NPR 30000 in Nepal, you should be able to get a decent set of features. Full HD resolution is fairly common at this price, whereas AMOLED panels are appearing in more and more phones too.

Similarly, performance shouldn’t be an issue, especially the ones from brands like Xiaomi and Realme. Multiple cameras are also readily available on midrange phones these days. However, don’t fall for the multiple-camera setup as the macro and depth lenses are quite a marketing gimmick. So, make sure to check out our individual reviews in detail to find out more.

Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 30000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 500 – 1000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end.

Best mobile phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal:

10. OnePlus Nord N30 SE

OnePlus Nord N30 SE - Cyan Sparkle

Kicking off our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is the newly launched OnePlus Nord N30 SE. And this thing brings an incredibly basic spec-sheet considering the asking price. While you can even go home with a 120Hz AMOLED display on some of the upcoming entries on our list, the Nord N30 SE settles with a good ol’ 60Hz LTPS panel instead.

At least OnePlus has upgraded the display resolution from 720p on the Nord N20 SE to 1080p this time so… that’s something. The performance side of things also see a decent boost with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6020 chip. It ships with OxygenOS 13.1 on top of Android 13 — and as you’d expect from a OnePlus phone — the Nord N30 SE’s software experience is pretty sweet.

The company has also committed to two years of OS and three years of security updates, although we would’ve liked it better if it ran on the newer OxygenOS 14 (Android 14) out-of-the-box instead. Getting to the cameras, the Nord N30 SE brings a 50MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor at the back — next to an 8MP selfie shooter. Whereas it’s powered by a big 5000mAh battery that should last a couple of days under light to medium usage.

OnePlus Nord N30 SE Specifications:

  • Display: 6.72-inch LTPS LCD screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6020 5G (7nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: OxygenOS 13.1 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Dual (50MP primary, 2MP depth)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC
  • Sensors: Ambient light, Geomagnetic, Gravity, Gyro, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W fast charging (33W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 26,499 (4/128GB)

9. Infinix Note 30

Infinix Note 30 - Sunset Gold

At number 9 on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is the Infinix Note 30. And this guy impresses in a lot of ways, starting with the design itself. Even though this is still a pretty chonky phone weighing 219 grams — largely thanks to its big 5000mAh battery — the Note 30 is available in a few attractive color options with a nice, clean design.

It also has a pretty responsive 120Hz display, although Infinix hasn’t used an AMOLED panel or anything here. Battery life isn’t going to be a problem on this thing either, while the Note 30 brings a familiar Helio G99 chip for smooth everyday usage and a decent gaming experience.

This is quite a popular chipset of choice in this price bracket, although it’s pretty much the exact same as the Dimensity 6100+ on the Realme 11x that you’ll see below. But without a 5G modem. We’re also quite fond of how generous Infinix has been with the memory configuration on this guy. The Infinix Note 30 has a decent camera setup too. We would’ve liked to see an ultrawide shooter too, but its 64MP main camera and a 32MP sensor on the front are reliable enough for taking photos.

Infinix Note 30 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99 4G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, 128/256GB UFS storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 13 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (64MP primary, 2MP depth, QVGA sensor)
  • Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, E-compass, Gyroscope, Light, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 45W fast charging (45W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 23,999 (8/256GB)

8. Realme 11x 5G

Realme 11x 5G - Purple Dawn

Taking the number 8 spot on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is the Realme 11x 5G. And this midrange phone is for those who value an attractive, eye-catching design above everything else. Available in “Purple Dawn” and “Midnight Black” colorways, Realme has gone with quite a striking circular camera ring that’s sure to turn some heads.

This has been complemented with sharp, flat edges and flat frames for a bold look overall. But besides design, the Realme 11x 5G is your typical midrange phone. It’s got a tall 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, alright, but you’re looking at an IPS panel instead of AMOLED.

And although the Dimensity 6100+ chip powering this phone is fine for casual day-to-day use, you’re gonna have to look elsewhere if you want some decent gaming experience. Its 64MP main camera takes pretty decent photos though. Whereas you can also expect at least a full day’s worth of battery here thanks to its 5,000mAh battery.

Realme 11x 5G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Dual (64MP primary, 2MP depth)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB Type-C, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, Magnetic Induction
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W fast charging (33W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 29,999 (8/128GB)

7. Tecno Camon 20

Tecno Camon 20 - Serenity Blue

Up next, we have the Tecno Camon 20. The company has been making good budget and midrange phones lately and the Camon 20 is a perfect example of that. And we can recommend this to anyone who wants a well-balanced phone that does a little bit of everything.

Starting with the design itself, this guy has quite an attractive look. You can get it with a faux-leather finish or one with a glass back, while the Camon 20 is IP53 dust and splash-resistant too. Tecno has also given an AMOLED panel here, although we would’ve liked it better if it had a 90Hz or a 120Hz refresh rate. But the one thing that stands out about its display is how thin the bezels are on all four sides.

And complementing the media experience is a nice set of stereo speakers. As for performance, the Tecno Camon 20 uses MediaTek’s Helio G85 chip. It’s far from the most capable processor in this segment but can handle casual usage just fine. Then again, the Camon 20’s camera performance is pretty nice when there’s enough light. Its battery life is decent too and all this is reason enough for the Tecno Camon 20 to occupy the seventh spot on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal.

Tecno Camon 20 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: HiOS 13 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (64MP primary, 2MP depth, QVGA lens)
  • Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light and distance, E-compass
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (18W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 22,990 (8/256GB)

6. Vivo Y36

Vivo Y36 - Glitter Aqua

And at number 6 position on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is the launched Vivo Y36. It’s the successor to last year’s Vivo Y35, and this guy brings a few upgrades. Most notably in terms of design and software. Whereas Vivo Y36 still has the same 90Hz FHD IPS display, Snapdragon 680 processor, a 5000mAh battery, and more.

Most notably, Vivo has finally moved away from a teardrop notch for the front camera to a hole-punch design this time. And the Y36 also arrives in a couple of attractive color options, including “Glitter Aqua” (pictured above), “Vibrant Gold”, and “Meteor Black”. Vivo has also gone with flat frames for a bold look here. And to complement such a bold design, the Vivo Y36 gets an official IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Design aside, Vivo Y36 has a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP primary and a couple of useless 2MP sensors for depth and macro shots. Whereas you’ll find a 16MP selfie camera behind the aforementioned hole-punch cutout. In terms of software, the phone arrives with Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13.

Vivo Y36 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.64-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android 13 (upgradeable)
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch cutout)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou / QZSS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Gyro, Proximity

5. Honor X8b

Honor X8b - Glamorous Green

The upcoming Honor X8b also finds a well-deserved spot on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal. We don’t know about its official price at the moment but it should launch below 30,000 rupees. Anyway, it’s the successor to last year’s Honor X8a, and the company has stuffed quite a few upgrades this time to offer an interesting midrange phone.

For example, the 90Hz IPS display has been bumped to an AMOLED one. That too with an impressive 3,240Hz PWM dimming. The Honor X8b also enjoys a high-res 50MP selfie camera, whereas Honor has also focused on the design side of things here. Its green colorway has a unique leather texture, while the phone itself is super slim (6.78mm) and lightweight (166 gm) too.

But despite its slimmer form factor, the Honor X8b carries the same 4500mAh battery. Oh — and besides a higher resolution selfie shooter — it has a front-facing flashlight as well. Arranged inside a pill-shaped cutout. There’s not much to talk about in terms of performance though, since it uses the Snapdragon 680 chip. Although we have news that the Honor X8b will arrive in Nepal under NPR 30000 for the 8GB RAM and 512GB storage model.

Honor X8b Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage (fixed)
  • Software & UI: Magic OS 7.2 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (108MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP depth)
  • Front Camera: 50MP sensor (hole-punch cutout)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Ambient light, Compass, Gravity, Proximity
  • Battery: 4500mAh with 35W charging (35W adapter inside the box)
  • Expected price in Nepal: NPR 29,999 (8/512GB)

4. Redmi Note 12 5G

Redmi Note 12 5G - Blue best phones under 30000 in nepal

Moving on, the fourth position on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal goes to the Redmi Note 12 5G. It’s similar to the Redmi Note 12 4G in a lot of ways, like the 6.67-inch FHD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Having said that, the Note 12 5G is powered by a much more powerful Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip instead of the Snapdragon 680. With two Cortex-A78 (@2.0 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (@1.8 GHz) CPUs and Adreno 619 GPU, this is one of the most powerful processors you could find in this price range. Unfortunately, although Xiaomi has promised 2 years of OS and 4 years of security updates for Redmi Note 12 5G, this phone ships with Android 12-based MIUI 14 out-of-the-box.

As for the cameras, it swaps the Redmi Note 12 4G’s 50MP main sensor with a 48MP unit while borrowing everything else. This includes an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 13MP selfie shooter. Other than this, Redmi Note 12 5G is IP53 dust/splash resistant and has the same side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics too.

Redmi Note 12 5G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 5G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: MIUI 14 on top of Android 12
  • Rear Camera: Triple (48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass, USB-C, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Gyro, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)

3. Samsung Galaxy A24 4G

Samsung Galaxy A24 4G - Green best phones under 30000 in nepal

And hogging the bronze medal on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is the Samsung Galaxy A24 4G. Unlike Samsung’s most budget phones in 2023 so far, this one actually brings a pretty balanced spec sheet. Starting with performance, Galaxy A24 is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chip.

This has been paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with an option to expand the storage via a micro SD card as well. And in terms of software, Galaxy A24 4G runs on the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.1. But more importantly, Samsung has promised 4 generations of OS and 5 years of security updates for this phone, which is the longest software commitment you get in any budget device.

Its 6.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate is also pretty sweet. The notch and the bottom bezel aren’t the prettiest things to look at, but it’s not a big deal. Galaxy A24 has a decent camera setup too, consisting of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 13MP selfie camera. The phone gets its juice from a big 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy A24 4G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99 4G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 6/8GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (teardrop punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS / BeiDou, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro, Light, Virtual proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 25W charging (power adapter not provided)

2. Redmi Note 13 4G

Redmi Note 13 4G - Midnight Black

The newly launched Redmi Note 13 4G is also a pretty well-rounded phone for some NPR 30000. It doesn’t come with a whole lot of upgrades over the Redmi Note 12 4G but the overall experience you’re getting with this thing is pretty impressive nonetheless.

First things first, Xiaomi has gone with a pretty bold look here that we really dig. And although it’s got the same 120Hz AMOLED display, the Redmi Note 13 4G trims the bezels quite significantly. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor now for a more premium experience, while Xiaomi has bumped the peak brightness level to 1,800 nits this time around. And unlike its predecessor, the Note 13 4G brings back a stereo speaker setup as well.

Other than this, Xiaomi has swapped 50MP main camera to a 108MP unit here, while the selfie camera also enjoys a new 16MP sensor. But for something that launched in 2024, we’re not a fan of the fact that it still boots on Android 13-based MIUI 14. And it doesn’t help that Xiaomi hasn’t committed to any number of future software updates for this guy either.

Redmi Note 13 4G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: MIUI 14 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (108MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Connectivity: Hybrid dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Gyro, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)

1. Samsung Galaxy A15 5G

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G - Light Blue

Finally, the gold medal on our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal goes to the newly launched Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. It’s actually a lot similar to the Galaxy A24 4G that we discussed before but the Galaxy A15 5G comes off as a much better value product.

It is exactly a thousand rupees cheaper than the Galaxy A24 for the base variant, while Samsung is also providing a genuine 25W charger worth NPR 2,000 for free in the Nepali market. Plus, this is also a 5G phone — although it’s worth pointing out that the Dimensity 6100+ chip powering this thing has an identical CPU and GPU setup as Helio G99 on the Galaxy A24 4G.

Other than this, the Galaxy A15 5G has the same (now iconic) design language, a beautiful 90Hz Super AMOLED display, and a massive 5000mAh battery. The camera side of things doesn’t see many changes either, except that Samsung has skipped OIS on the 50MP main camera here. As for software, it boots on One UI 6 on top of Android 14. Whereas Samsung also promises 4 major OS updates and 5 years of security updates for the Galaxy A15 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 6.0 on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (teardrop punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS / BeiDou, USB-C, 4G LTE, 5G
