In this article, we will go through all the best phones you can buy under NPR 60000 in Nepal. At this price point, you will not just settle for competitive specs but also for premium design and user experience. A decent camera setup is also a must. Likewise, people also tend to prioritize brand value as we go higher. Lucky for us, there are a lot of recognized brands with really good options in this price range which we will be exploring in this price range.
How to find the best phone under NPR 60000 in Nepal?
The phones under the NPR 60000 price range are just shy of the premium mid-range tag, so having good specs on paper is the bare minimum. You should not expect anything but an OLED screen with a higher refresh rate. Likewise, the phone should look and feel premium in hands. In addition, brands should also offer a level of assurance of the phone’s durability. This could come in the form of Corning Glass protection (front and back), official IP rating, as well as internal testing.
A phone in this range must show a certain level of performance. 5G is still years away from a proper implementation here in Nepal, but if you are spending up to NPR 60000, you might as well get a future-proof phone. You should also care about the number of years your phone will be getting software support after launch. In addition, it must also showcase above-average still shoots and stable videography.
Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 60000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 1000 – 2000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end. |
Best Mobile Phones under NPR 60000 in Nepal
6. Nothing Phone (2a)
Securing the fifth spot in this list of best phones under NPR 60000 in Nepal is the Nothing Phone (2a), which is the third phone to come out of Carl Pei’s Nothing. It has the most unique design of all the smartphones on this list. This is because of the Glyph interface at the back.
Basically, it’s the collection of LED lights that light up in the case of new notifications, incoming calls, and others. Helping the Glyph shine is the transparent back which is another of Nothing’s selling points. But the rear panel this time is plastic though. It is held together by plastic frames while the Phone (2a) is also IP54 dust/splash resistant.
Dimensity 7200 Pro
Under the hood, Nothing Phone (2a) packs the Dimensity 7200 Pro, which is fairly powerful in the mid-range segment. This is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Nothing OS which is very close to stock Android. Nothing even promises 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates which is quite good for a brand as young as Nothing. So, it’s sorted for up to Android 17.
As for the cameras, Nothing has kept things simple by including just two sensors on the back. Both the primary and the ultrawide cameras feature 50MP sensors that take decent photos. Over on the front, there is a 32MP primary sensor which captures great-looking selfies as well. The Phone (2a) gets its juice from a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W charging.
Nothing Phone (2a) Specifications:
- Display: 6.7-inches AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, 1300nits of peak brightness
- Chipset: Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro 5G (4nm mobile platform)

5. Realme 12 Pro+
Coming up at the 4th position of our best phones under 60000 in Nepal list is the Realme 12 Pro+. Continuing the premium outlook of the Realme number series, this guy stands as no exception. You get a premium-looking vegan leather back with a luxury watch-like camera module. Pair that with an IP65 rating, the design side of things is pretty sorted. Oh wait, the display here also adds up to that!
After all, it’s a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. It’s all good and sharp for media consumption and your daily Instagram reel needs with a superb dual stereo speaker setup.
3X Telephoto Periscope
The Realme 12 Pro+ features a 3X telephoto periscope lens which none of the phones in this list have. This 64MP Omnivision sensor takes flagship-level portraits, without having to spend more money for the sake of good portraits. It offers up to 120X digital zoom, but the results are not that great. But we can let that slide in, not a big deal for a midrange, is it? Likewise, the 50MP main camera captures decent-looking images and so does the 8MP ultrawide unit.
In terms of performance, it packs a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip which is, of course, not the best processor for this list. This 4nm Samsung-fabbed SoC can take day-to-day tasks with ease with respectable frames for games like PUBG and Call of Duty. But, if you are someone who wants the best performance, the SD 7s Gen 2 is not for you. On top of that, Realme capped high-fps games, which is another bummer! Overall, the Realme 12 Pro+ gains a solid A+ rating for cameras, design, and display while the performance side of things is only on the B+ side.
Realme 12 Pro+ Specifications:
- Display: 6.7″ curved-edge full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4nm)
- RAM/ Storage: 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
- Software: Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0
- Camera: 50MP IMX890 main (with OIS), 8MP ultra-wide, 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope portrait camera
- Front Camera: 32MP sensor
- Sensor: In-display fingerprint sensor
- Battery and Charging: 5000mAh with 67 Watt of charging

4. OnePlus Nord 3
And guess what, the recent price drop puts the OnePlus Nord 3 right at the 4th placement of our best phones under 60,000 in Nepal. For its price, this guy got a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and a Sony IMX890 sensor.
The design side of things is on the bland side at least on the Tempest Gray version. Likewise, it is IP54-rated for protection against dust and water. On the display side, there is a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with HDR 10+ certification and 1.5K resolution. A dragon trail glass protects the front while the back is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 layer from Corning.
Mediatek Dimensity 9000
The key highlight of this guy is the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset, fabbed on a 4nm process. It features one Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.05 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. So, this makes it the most powerful chip in the segment. But there is one downside to this one, it tends to heat more during intensive tasks and gamings.
Likewise, the camera side is also interesting thanks to the then flagship camera sensor, IMX890, which clicked nice-looking images in our tests. The 8MP ultrawide is just a basic ultrawide camera with a wider field of view but at the cost of weaker dynamic range and details.
OnePlus Nord 3 Specifications:
- Display: 6.74-inch AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, 450 ppi, Gorilla Glass 5
- Resolution: 1.5K (2772 x 1240 pixels)
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G (4nm)
- Memory: 8/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage (non-expandable)
- OS: OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13
- Rear Cameras: Triple (with LED flash)
- 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX890 primary sensor, OIS
- 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, 112° FoV
- 2MP f/2.4 macro (4cm focus)
- Front Camera: 16MP, f/2.4 sensor (hole-punch)
- Battery: 5000mAh, 80W charging
- Security: In-display fingerprint sensor
- Connectivity: WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Dual SIM

3. Samsung Galaxy A55
Finally — with a slightly upgraded design and a slightly faster processor — the new Samsung Galaxy A55 takes the bronze medal on our list of best phones under NPR 60000 in Nepal. But that’s about all the upgrades you’re gonna get with this guy. So looks-wise, it’s pretty identical to the Galaxy A54, right? The A55’s camera rings are slightly larger and look a bit bolder, although Samsung has changed things a bit in terms of the build itself this time.
So while the Galaxy A54 had plastic frames and Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display, the A55 now brings metal frames and a stronger Gorilla Glass Victus+ layer. That means not only does the Galaxy A55 have a more premium hands-on feel, but it also has better drop protection. Then there’s that “Key Island” thing where the volume rockers and the power button now sit on a slightly raised bump here.
Exynos 1480
We found that the new Exynos 1480 also feels notably snappier on the Galaxy A55. And we didn’t notice any jitters or slowdowns when going about our regular work on this thing. At this point, Samsung’s One UI is also ridiculously well-optimized, while the Galaxy A55 is also guaranteed to receive up to Android 18 update so that’s even more reassuring. Its AMD GPU was something we were really excited to check out but as expected, this Samsung chip simply hasn’t been optimized well enough for most games.
Anyway, Galaxy A55’s display and battery life are quite impressive though. And we are equally happy with its camera performance. Samsung has essentially borrowed the same camera hardware here as the one on the Galaxy A54 so it’s no surprise that this guy takes great photos and videos. Its ultrawide camera could’ve been a bit better and a 2x option for portraits is sorely missing, but other than that, the Galaxy A55 is a great camera phone for the price.
Samsung Galaxy A55 Specifications:
- Display: 6.6-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus+
- Chipset: Exynos 1480 5G (4nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 8/12GB RAM, 128/256GB storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: One UI 6.1 on top of Android 14
- Rear Camera: Triple (50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro)
- Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
- Connectivity: Hybrid dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 6 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou / QZSS, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro, Hall, Light, Virtual proximity
- Battery: 5000mAh with 25W charging (25W power adapter provided)

2. Vivo V30
Likewise, the newly launched Vivo V30 is the runner-up on our list of best phones under NPR 60000 in Nepal. And compared to the Vivo V29 that you saw at the very beginning, this guy brings a bunch of meaningful upgrades in multiple aspects. Including performance, cameras, and battery life.
So while the Snapdragon 778G powering the V29 was — and still is — an incredibly reliable processor, Vivo has gone with the newer Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip this time. That means the Vivo V30 has a much more capable CPU, GPU, and everything else. And in our tests, we found it performing noticeably better in all sorts of tests. Including multitasking and when playing a bunch of high-end games like PUBG, Mech Arena, and Genshin Impact.
Software sorrows
But we feel that the software side of things is where Vivo still has some work cut out for itself. The new Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 has some neat new features and all that, although it’s still not as smooth and as versatile as Samsung’s One UI, for instance. And it doesn’t help that Vivo’s promise of 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates is among the lowest compared to other similarly priced phones.
Then again, the Vivo V30 impresses big time with its cameras. It’s got a trio of 50MP sensors and we like how Vivo hasn’t included useless depth and macro lenses here. And we were mostly happy with the photos from this thing. Although its stabilization in videos at 4K resolution isn’t the best we’ve seen. The battery life on the V30 has gotten better too, and under moderate usage, it’s easily going to give you 7 hours of screen time.
Vivo V30 Specifications:
- Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 5G (4nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 8/12GB RAM, 128/256GB storage (fixed)
- Software & UI: Funtouch OS 14 on top of Android 14
- Rear Camera: Dual (50MP main, 50MP ultrawide)
- Front Camera: 50MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 6 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS / AGPS / Galileo / Glonass / QZSS / BeiDou, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Gyroscope, Proximity

1. Honor 200
And finally, taking the crown of best phones under NPR 60000 in Nepal is the newly launched Honor 200. And this is most suitable for those who value a good camera performance above everything else. The design is also premium-looking here. Although we would’ve liked it more if Honor had managed to provide some sort of IP rating and Gorilla Glass protection, the Honor 200’s design is still pretty impressive.
So is its display. You’re looking at a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and curves on both sides. But the biggest highlight of this display is definitely its incredible 3,840Hz PWM dimming. That means if you’re someone who gets headaches, nausea, and the like when using a phone at low brightness levels, that’s not gonna be a problem here. Plus, you get all sorts of attributes such as a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Low Blue Light certifications, HDR 10+ support, and so on!
Best cameras in the game
The key highlight of the Honor 200 is none other than its cameras. It’s got a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor which takes good images, almost similar to its expensive Honor 200 Pro sibling. And the 2.5X telephoto lens combined with the Harcourt Studio Paris filter provides you some stellar portraits. Meanwhile, the 12MP ultrawide is also decent enough for those wider FoV imageries. It also doubles as a macro camera.
As for performance, Honor has gone with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip and complemented it with plenty of RAM and storage. So you’ll have absolutely no problem with day-to-day work. The memory side of things leaves no room for complaint, this is definitely the most powerful processor for the price.
Honor 200 Specifications:
- Display: 6.7” AMOLED Panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,000 nits peak brightness, 435 PPI pixel density, 1.07 billion color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 3,840Hz PWM dimming
