Who Is Havit?

Havit is a Chinese brand that mostly makes gaming accessories like keyboards, mice, headsets, and cooling pads. But surprisingly, they have also added Monitors this time. Because of how obscure the brand already is, its monitors haven’t been able to make much fame of its own either. Right now, they have just been launched in Nepal, and these monitors are bought to target the mid-range gaming enthusiasts, with their VA panels at 200Hz, priced in the thirty to thirty-five thousand rupee range. On paper, the value looks decent. In practice, you're buying from a brand with an unproven track record in monitors specifically, which is a real thing to weigh.

There are two monitors available in Nepal right now, and both models sit between thirty-two and thirty-five thousand rupees, that is budget-to-lower-mid territory. At this price, they compete directly with Koorui's curved gaming options and the lower end of Acer Nitro, both of which have more verifiable reputations. But worth noting that both of these models have almost the same specs, but with different form factors — one flat, one curved. That's the entire lineup.

Havit GSC101 

The flat variant claims 99% sRGB coverage on a 27-inch FHD VA panel at 200Hz with full ergonomic adjustment,  tilt, swivel, pivot, and height. That stand is the headline feature here. Most monitors at this price drop to tilt-only, so getting full adjustment is definitely going to be useful for many. AMD FreeSync is also supported, and connectivity covers HDMI, DisplayPort, and audio out. The 200Hz refresh rate on a VA panel sounds impressive, but FHD at 27 inches means pixel density isn't great, because of this, things will start to look softer than they would on a smaller panel at the same resolution. And VA at 200Hz carries an asterisk: response time performance varies a lot between VA panels, and without experience, the claimed 1ms figure is hard to trust at face value.

The curved variant is the same panel and specs with a 1500R curve added and a slightly higher price. Although it's mostly cosmetic, worth mentioning that this monitor also picks up an RGB light strip on the back. But the 1500R curvature is also moderate here and its not as aggressive as some gaming monitors . However, VESA mount support is there if you want to ditch the stand entirely. Everything else mirrors the flat model. The choice between the two really comes down to whether you want the curve, because nothing else meaningfully changes.
