CMF Phone 2 Pro gets even more expensive in Nepal

CMF phones have become a popular choice in Nepal in the budget price segment. And when the CMF Phone 2 Pro launched in Nepal at under NPR 40,000 even for the high-end 8/256GB model, it was the undisputed value king. But with the global RAM crisis, phone prices are skyrocketing. And the Phone 2 Pro's price in Nepal has seen a second price hike in just a few months' time. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the CMF Phone 2 Pro, including its specifications and its latest official price in Nepal.

CMF Phone 2 Pro Overview

Design and Display

CMF has designed the CMF Phone 2 Pro as the slimmest phone yet, with a profile of just 7.8 mm and a lightweight feel at 185 grams. On the back, it carries CMF’s trademark stainless steel screws. The design doesn’t break any new ground and looks similar to the CMF Phone 1. It is available in White, Black, Orange, and Light Green.

Now, up front, the phone has a large 6.77’’ FHD+ flexible AMOLED display. It supports a jaw-dropping 1.07 billion colors, which is nearly a billion more than the CMF Phone 1. This makes the visuals look more lifelike, which I think really boosts the entertainment experience. Alongside this, the display supports a super-responsive 1000 Hz touch sampling rate and a smooth 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. For protection, the phone carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and for security, you get an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. On the durability side, it’s passed a 20-drop test from 1.5mm height at 10 angles.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chip, with an 8-core CPU reaching speeds of 2.5GHz. Compared to the CMF Phone 1, this chip gives a 10% faster CPU and 5% better GPU performance. That boost should definitely help in daily tasks and gaming. The Pro model packs up to 8GB of RAM with a RAM booster for smoother multitasking. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, and the best part is you can expand it up to 2TB, which is rare at this price. Running on Nothing OS 3.2 built over Android 15, the phone promises 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.

Coming to the battery, the device houses a big 5000 mAh battery. It can last for two full days on a single charge, more specifically 47 hours of voice calls, 22 hours of YouTube, or 10 hours of BGMI gaming. Even better, the battery retains more than 90% of its health after 1200 charging cycles. The 33W fast charging lets you power the phone for an entire day in just 20 minutes. You also get a 5W reverse wired charging option.

Camera and More

As for the camera, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to include a 50MP main lens, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the front, there's a 16MP camera for selfies. It supports 4K video recording at 30 fps, which is great for content creators or video calls. Plus, there’s a feature called TrueLens Engine 3.0 that enhances lighting and shadows by 89%. That should make your photos look more professional without needing any edits.

On the connectivity side, the phone also has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 for a fast and stable experience. Audio-wise, it packs two high-definition microphones and a 150% ultra-volume speaker, which honestly sounds like a good upgrade for media consumption or calls.
