FiiO M11 Plus LTD music player announced: A love letter to audiophiles

FiiO has officially launched the highly anticipated M11 Plus LTD digital music player - a much-expected upgrade to last year's award-winning M11 Pro. It brings a slightly better design and other upgrades compared to its predecessor.

Design and Display

Starting with the display, M11 Plus LTD has a bezel-less 5.5-inch screen with advanced sliding touch volume controls. Users can change the volume on the M11 Plus LTD either by using the physical buttons or by sliding their fingers on the touch panel. If you think that's pretty standard, let me tell you that this is the first time sliding touch volume controls have appeared in a Hi-Res digital audio player.

Additionally, the M11 Plus LTD comes in FiiO's 6th gen honeycomb design and is available with either an aluminum alloy or a stainless steel body. The aluminum body variant weighs about 310 grams, while the stainless steel model adds 95 grams to the weight.

Snapdragon 660

Under the hood, the audio player is packed with Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor. It is a significant improvement over the Exynos 7872 in M11 Pro which promises a more responsive and smoother user experience. FiiO M11 Plus LTD comes pre-installed with Android 10 and features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is compatible with almost all of the audio streaming apps available on the Google Play Store. Similarly, the company has introduced compatibility for Apple Music too, which was unavailable on the M11 Pro.

Dual DAC

On the audio front, the M11 Plus LTD is equipped with two AK4497EQ Dual DAC chipsets and a powerful THX AAA-78 amplification module. Furthermore, this audio player now supports two-way Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, as well as LDAC, SBC, and AAC wireless codecs.

In terms of wireless connectivity, it equips 2.4G and 5G dual-band Wi-Fi. Furthermore, the new Digital Audio Purifications System (DAPS) with self-developed 4th Gen FPGA+NDK femtosecond crystal oscillators ensures more pure sound. Wired audio output options include 2.4/3.5/4.4mm jacks and USB DAC. Additionally, the FiiO M11 Plus LTD supports 3 audio gain levels with 120 volume steps in each of them. It also has a user-customizable shortcut button for quick app launches or other settings.

Other than this, the audio player packs a 6000mAh huge battery which supports Qualcomm 4.0 quick charge (up to 27W). With this, FiiO is promising up to 11.5 hours of continuous music playback. The onboard charger can fill up this battery from 0 to 100% in 3 hours.
