Currently, Samsung has a wide range of models ranging from budget to high-end. Also, if you are planning to buy a Samsung smartphone, make sure you buy them from an authorized distributor for genuine products and after-sales support. There are two distributors of Samsung phones in Nepal: Integrated Mobility Solutions (IMS) and Him Electronics.

To make sure if a Samsung device is authorized or not, there’s a hologram of either IMS or HIM electronics on the box package. It is beneficial to buy from the authorized channels since the Samsung service center only provides replacement and servicing facilities on products bought from authorized distributors.

4. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra - Phantom Silver

Samsung Nepal is never late in launching its flagship products in the country and the S21 series was no exception either. As a result, the company’s latest flagship – the Galaxy S21 Ultra is here. For what it’s worth, Samsung has really done a good job in differentiating the three products. This year marks the first time there’s support for the S-pen in Samsung’s S-series of smartphones. However, only the S21 Ultra supports that for now – and you’re gonna need to buy a separate folio case for this.

Other highlights of the Ultra include a curved display and an obviously superior camera setup. Leading the charge is an upgraded 108MP ISOCELL HM3 primary sensor, followed by a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and two 10MP telephoto lenses; one capable of 3x optical zoom while the other can hit the 10x mark. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 or Samsung’s very own Exynos 2100. As usual, Nepal gets the Exynos variant but there’s really not much of a difference between the two variants, and the Exynos 2100 fares better in terms of thermal performance as well.

This silicon has been paired with 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM but only the 12GB variant is available in Nepal. Moving on, Samsung has restricted a curved display only on the S21 Ultra. You’re looking at a big 6.8″ WQHD+ AMOLED screen with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. This screen also equips Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 for improved ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Specifications:

  • Display: 6.8-inches WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Dual Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, LTPO
  • Chipset: Exynos 2100
  • RAM: 12/16GB
  • Storage: 128/256/512GB (non-expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Quad-camera; 108MP primary lens, 12MP ultrawide lens, 10MP telephoto 3x lens, 10x periscope lens 10x optical zoom, Laser AutoFocus (AF) sensor
  • Front Camera: 40MP f/2.2 aperture
  • Security: Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner (Gen 2)
  • Battery: 5000mAh, 25W fast charging, 15W Fast Wireless, 4.5W reverse Wireless

5. Samsung Galaxy S21+

Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus - Phantom Violet

Following the S21 Ultra is the S21+. It is smaller in size and features other downgrades. First off, the S21+ no longer bears a curved display. Instead, Samsung has gone with a flat AMOLED panel with minimal bezels all around. The fans of the curved-screen may be disappointed in how Samsung has exclusivized it to the high-end model only. But seeing the success of the flat display on the Galaxy S20 FE, it’s safe to say that we saw this one coming.

Still, this 6.7″ display holds the same 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Equipped with the LTPO, the screen can dynamically switch between 48Hz to 120Hz depending on the content. Also, unlike its predecessor, the S21+ doesn’t have a 1440p resolution. It is now just an FHD+ screen. Besides all this, the phone comes with dual Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the front and the back.

Just like the S21 Ultra, it is powered by the 5nm Exynos 2100 as well and supports Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. But, the RAM option is limited to just 8GB. The camera setup consists of a 12MP primary lens, a 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. The 10MP front camera remains the same as the S20+ as well. It is fueled by a 4800mAh battery which supports 25W wired fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Dual Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, LTPO
  • Chipset: Exynos 2100
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB (non-expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Triple-camera; 12MP f/1.8 primary shooter, 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor, 64MP f/2.0 telephoto 3x optical zoom
  • Front Camera: 10MP f/2.2 aperture (punch-hole)
  • Security: Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner (Gen 2)
  • Battery: 4800mAh, 25W fast charging, 15W Fast Wireless, 4.5W reverse Wireless
  • Price: Rs. 1,29,999 (8/256GB)

6. Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung Galaxy S21 - Phantom Pink

Finally, the Galaxy S21 is the most affordable entry in Samsung’s 2021 lineup of S-series smartphones. Compared to last year, the S21 is flat $200 less expensive—and that goes for other phones in the S21 lineup as well. In a bid to reduce the price of the S21, Samsung has decided to go with a glastic back. Here, glastic material is the same that we’ve seen in the company’s other devices like the S20 FE.

This combo of plastic and glass is obviously not as premium as the glass back in the other two entries in the S21 series. But given how most of us choose to slap in a back case anyway, that might not matter as much to many.

Moving on, it has a smaller 6.2″ AMOLED screen as well. Like the S21+, this is a flat display as well. Thankfully, Samsung has included the Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front. It still dynamically refreshes at 120Hz, so that’s great. Other differences between the S21 and S21+ include a smaller 4000mAh battery and the lack of UWB support. Besides these, the camera, performance, memory, and other aspects of the Galaxy S21 are the same as those on the S21+.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.2-inches FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, LTPO
  • Chipset: Exynos 2100 (5nm)
  • RAM: 8GB LPDDR5
  • Storage: 128/256GB (non-expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Triple-camera; 12MP primary lens, 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, 64M telephoto 3x optical zoom
  • Front Camera: 10MP f/2.2 aperture (punch-hole)
  • Security: Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner (Gen 2)

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Samsung Note 20 Ultra is one of the most expensive smartphones from Samsung. It features 6.9-inch WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X infinity-O display. The curved panel is held at its place by metal frames. The body is made entirely of glass. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Samsung has included LTPO technology to make the 120Hz panel more battery efficient. The Note 20 Plus that is available in Nepal is powered by Exynos 990 instead of the Snapdragon 865+.

On the back, the 108MP primary camera comes with PDAF and OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens. The latter supports up to 5x lossless optical zoom and 30x digital Space Zoom. There is a 10MP selfie camera on the front. 8. Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Samsung Galaxy Note 20The vanilla Note 20 is far from the device that the Note 20 Ultra is. To differentiate the Note 20 Ultra, Samsung has compromised on a lot of things on this one. First, it features a glasstic body. The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED has an FHD+ resolution. Since the device is stuck on a standard 60Hz screen, it cannot boast of the 9mn low latency on the S Pen like the Note 20 Ultra.

The device is powered by Exynos 990. Since only the LTE variant will arrive in Nepal users will have no choice but to settle with 8GB of RAM ad 256GB of internal storage. The storage cannot be expanded further. The 12MP primary camera supports Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide sensor and a 64MP telephoto lens. The latter supports up to 3x lossless optical zoom and up to 30x digital Space Zoom. On the front, there is a 10MP selfie camera. The device is powered by a 4,300mAh battery. The device supports 25W USB-PD 3.0 charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches QHD+ “Infinity-O” Dynamic AMOLED 60Hz; Gorilla Glass 5

  • Battery: 4300mAh; 25W fast charging; 15W Fast Wireless; 9W reverse Wireless

9. Samsung Galaxy S20+

The Galaxy S20 Plus is among the latest S-series flagship smartphone from Samsung. Unlike the S20 ultra, it has a smaller 6.7-inch QHD SAMOLED display. Hence, it is also much smaller and thinner than the S20 Ultra.

Samsung galaxy s20 plus mobile price nepal

As compared to the S10+, Samsung has also upgraded the camera sensor on the S20 Plus. It now has a 64MP telephoto zoom lens capable of 3X optical zoom and up to 30X digital zoom. The 64MP zoom lens, along with the Exynos 990 capabilities, will also allow you to click 8K videos at 24fps. Similarly, you get an improved 12MP primary camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

Apart from that, the Galaxy S20 Plus also comes with a big 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. In terms of memory, it has 8GB of DDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. You can further expand the storage via a MicroSD card of up to 512GB. Because of these features, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is one of the best android flagship phones in Nepal right now.

Samsung Galaxy S20+ Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches QHD+ “Infinity-O” Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz; Gorilla Glass 6

10. Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (S20 FE)

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

Galaxy S20 FE is basically an affordable S20 without any major compromise. It comes with a flat display, plastic back, and slightly inferior display quality.

Apart from that, you still get flagship treatment like the 120Hz AMOLED panel, Exynos 990 SoC, IP68 rating, and wireless charging. So, if you are looking to save some bucks, the S20 FE is a good value flagship. It is currently available exclusively from Daraz.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches FHD+ “Infinity-O” Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz; Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: Exynos 990

11. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite

Note series from Samsung usually come at a high cost. So, to make the S-pen accessible for all, Samsung launched the Note 10 Lite with S-pen at a midrange price. Not only does it offer a stylus, but the Note 10 Lite also has the same camera setup as the more expensive Note 10.

However, Samsung has cut corners in terms of design and performance. You get a plastic back, instead of the costlier glass body. Upfront, it has a 6.7-inch 1080P display instead of a 2K curved panel we’re used to seeing in the more premium Note device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite

Furthermore, the Note 10 Lite has Exynos 9810 chipset which was used on the older Note 9. So, on the performance and gaming-wise, it takes a slight hit. Memory-wise, there’s 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As compared to Note 10, it also lacks IP dust and waterproofing, wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The latter of which is substituted with a regular optical fingerprint reader.

But, its battery endurance is great. With a big 4500mAh cell and the support for fast 25W charging, the Note 10 Lite is a battery champ. It also runs the latest Android 10 with One UI 2.1. Samsung also launched the Note 10 Lite in Nepal at the world’s best price by collaborating with its e-commerce partner Daraz. However, you can now purchase it from offline mobile retail shops too.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches FullHD+ “Infinity-O” Super AMOLED
  • Chipset: Exynos 9810
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB, expandable via micro SD card

15. Samsung Galaxy M62

Samsung Galaxy M62 - Laser Blue

When Samsung announced the Galaxy F62 in India, the phone received positive feedback because of its older-gen flagship chipset. While the ‘F’ series is exclusive to India, Samsung was quick enough to repurpose the phone as Galaxy M62 in other parts of the world. More importantly, Samsung Nepal launched this phone at pretty competitive pricing too.

Here, M62’s flagship-grade chipset is the Exynos 9825 that Samsung used in 2019’s Galaxy Note 10 series. As a result, it is the best performing phone under 40K in Nepal. While it doesn’t support 5G connectivity, the chipset makes up for that in terms of sheer power. This is paired with either 6/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Additionally, Samsung ships Galaxy M62 with the latest One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.

Besides this, the phone is pretty similar to the Galaxy M51. It has the same quad-camera setup led by a 64MP primary sensor. Upfront, there’s a 32MP selfie camera inside the centralized punch-hole cutout. Galaxy M62 gets its juice from a massive 7000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. However, it is a little bulky and heavy which might be something to worry about.

Samsung Galaxy M62 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inches Full-HD+ “Infinity-O” Super AMOLED Plus panel
  • Chipset: Exynos 9825 (7nm)
  • RAM: 6/8GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage: 128GB, expandable via micro SD card
  • Software & UI: Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top
  • Rear Camera: Quad-camera; 64MP primary lens, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro lens, 5MP depth sensor
  • Front Camera: 32MP (punch-hole)
  • Security: Side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Face unlock
  • Battery: 7000mAh with 25W fast charging
  • Price: Rs. 39,999 (6/128GB) | Rs. 42,999 (8/128GB)

Also, the price of Samsung smartphones in Nepal is almost similar to the Indian and other markets. It is even cheaper here in Nepal when you compare the high-end series. In comparison, other Chinese OEM brands like Huawei, Realme, OPPO are usually 15-20% pricier in Nepal.
