Samsung Galaxy S20

If you think the Galaxy S20+ is a little big for your liking, Samsung has its smaller variant, the Galaxy S20 in its sleeve as well. Here, you get a smaller 6.2-inch display and an overall smaller form factor. Moreover, it is still a QHD AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The S20, however, lacks the TOF sensor you get on the S20+, but the remaining triple rear camera setup stays the same.

There’s 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM too. So, if you are looking for a smaller device but with powerful and flagship features, look no further; the Samsung Galaxy S20 is simply the best choice in Nepal.

4. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus

The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is Samsung’s latest offering in its top-of-the-line “Note” series of smartphones. Launched back in late-2019, it is still one of the most premium flagships available in Nepal. With the Note 10 Plus, you get a Stylus pen for writing notes, sketching, and other stuff.

The S-pen is complemented by a massive 6.8-inch display with a narrow chin on the bottom and a tiny punch-hole cutout on the top. With a whopping 90.9% screen to body ratio, the smartphone looks immersive. And the Quad-HD+ resolution on its screen also helps make the handset absolutely stunning.

Samsung Note 10+

Powering the device is an Exynos 9825 chipset backed by 12GB of RAM. And despite being almost a year old chipset, the performance hasn’t aged. You also get a base storage of 256GB that can be expanded even further with a microSD card. Hence, you should never have any issue with storage space running out. Powering the Note 10+ is a big 4300mAh battery which provides a full day of usage even if you are a heavy user.

As for the cameras, the phone comes with a quad-camera setup at the back. The module includes a standard wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephone lens. Additionally, you get a ToF sensor for improved depth sensing while capturing live focus images and videos. But unlike the Galaxy S10 Plus that has a dual camera, you only get a single 10MP selfie shooter on the front.

5. Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

The Galaxy Note 10 is the toned-down version of the Note 10 Plus. So a few compromises have been made in terms of specifications when compared with the higher-end model. The regular Note 10 comes with a slightly smaller 6.3-inch display with Full-HD+ resolution.

And unlike the bigger and mightier Note 10 Plus, there is no ToF sensor on its back camera either. Similarly, it lacks an SD card slot, has a smaller battery, and a lesser amount of RAM, which help differentiate Note 10 with the bigger Note 10 Plus. So, if you are looking for a small form factor and an S-pen with high-end specs, Samsung Note 10 is a perfect buy in Nepal.

  • Display: 6.3-inch FHD+ “Infinity-O” Dynamic AMOLED; Gorilla Glass 6

6. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

Galaxy S10 Plus is Samsung’s flagship S-series phone from 2019. Despite being a year old device, the S10 Plus is still an excellent option in 2020. Samsung Nepal has also dropped the price recently making it an affordable high-end phone.

Samsung Galaxy S10 plusThe Galaxy S10 Plus sports a 6.4-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen which is still considered one of the best displays on a smartphone. Yet, you don’t get a higher refresh rate like the S20 series here. Nonetheless, its large 4,100 mAh battery provides great endurance. It is also the first S-series to have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, it also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a distinctive hardware feature in 2020.

Likewise, it comes with a triple camera setup on the back and dual cameras up front which reside inside a pill-shaped punch hole. The cameras capture note-worthy images with excellent dynamic range, colors, and details. Similarly, the performance is still very good. It is powered by the Exynos 9820 chipset along with 8GB of RAM. You can buy the S10 Plus in Nepal in 2 memory configurations: 128GB and 512GB. Both variants have a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

7. Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung Galaxy S10 mobile price nepalThe Samsung Galaxy S10 is the second member of the S10 series. It is a little smaller and cheaper than the Galaxy S10 Plus. This phone shares the same cameras and the SoC with the Plus model. However, it only has a single selfie camera on the front. The device comes with a 3,400 mAh battery and a 6.1-inch screen. For storage, you only get the 128 GB storage variant in Nepal.

So, if you want to save some bucks and get a high-end phone below 1 lakh in Nepal, the Galaxy S10 ticks all the boxes. It features a gorgeous design, the latest One UI software, an excellent camera setup, and a vibrant QHD+ Super AMOLED display.

8. Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Galaxy Note 9 grabbed DisplayMate’s “best display award” when it launched back in 2018. And even in 2020, it’s AMOLED display shines bright with excellent colors and contrast. It also comes with a premium design and doesn’t feel outdated.Samsung Galaxy Note 9

However, since its almost a 2-year-old device, its Exynos 9810 chipset along with 6GB of RAM can be considered mediocre. But, Samsung has recently rolled out the Android 10 update on the Galaxy Note 9. Similarly, it also lacks an ultra-wide-angle lens, which is getting wide-spread even on budget Samsung devices these days.

Note 9’s battery life is still solid as it comes with a 4000mAh battery. Similarly, you get a heart rate sensor and an iris scanner on this phone, which all the latest Samsung flagships lack. Samsung Nepal has also recently dropped the price to Rs. 95,999, but I am not 100% convinced that you should get the Note 9 today as you can get plenty of fast performing phones at this price range.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Specs:

  • Display: 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, Gorilla Glass 5
  • Chipset: Exynos 9810
  • RAM: 6GB RAM
  • Storage: 128GB Internal Storage, expandable up to 256GB via micro SD slot

9. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite

Note series from Samsung usually come with a high-cost. So, to make the S-pen accessible for all, Samsung launched the Note 10 Lite with S-pen at a midrange price. Not only does it offer a stylus, but the Note 10 Lite also has the same camera setup as more expensive Note 10.

However, Samsung has cut corners in terms of design and performance. You get a plastic back, instead of the costlier glass body. Upfront, it has a 6.7-inch 1080P display instead of a 2K curved panel we’re used to seeing in the more premium Note device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite

Furthermore, the Note 10 Lite has Exynos 9810 chipset which was used on older Note 9. So, on the performance and gaming-wise, it takes a slight hit. Memory wise, there’s 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As compared to Note 10, it also lacks IP dust and waterproofing, wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The latter of which is substituted with a regular optical fingerprint reader.

But, its battery endurance is great. With a big 4500mAh cell and the support for fast 25W charging, the Note 10 Lite is a battery champ. It also runs the latest Android 10 with One UI 2.1. Samsung also launched the Note 10 Lite in Nepal at the world’s best price by collaborating with its e-commerce partner Daraz. However, you can now purchase it from offline mobile retail shops too.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inches FullHD+ “Infinity-O” Super AMOLED panel
  • Chipset: Exynos 9810; 10nm Mobile Platform
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB (expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated SD card slot)

10. Samsung Galaxy A80

The elevating pop-up camera was quite the trend in 2019. We have seen such kind of setup on Oppo F11 Pro, Vivo V15 Pro, and even on the OnePlus 7 Pro. But Samsung took the elevating camera to the next level with the Galaxy A80. This phone comes with an elevating plus a flipping camera mechanism.

Samsung Galaxy A80

To take the shots, the camera elevates and captures the images from the rear cameras. And on switching to the front camera, the camera flips and faces the front. So the same camera works both as front and rear cameras. And talking about the cameras, the device flaunts a triple camera setup.

Employing such a mechanism, Samsung managed to provide an all-screen display with a display size of 6.7-inch. The display features Full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel and houses a fingerprint scanner underneath the display. Internals are pretty modest as it sports the Snapdragon 730 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and 3700mAh battery.

The Galaxy A80 is considered one of the flop phones of 2019, mainly because of the outrageous launch price. Because of this, Samsung Nepal has dropped the price from Rs. 79,990 to Rs. 49,999.

Samsung Galaxy A80 Specs:

  • Display: 6.7″ Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels)
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 730
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB onboard, non-expandable
  • Rear Camera: Triple, 48 MP primary lens with f/2.0 aperture & PDAF + 8 MP Ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture + 3D TOF sensor
  • Front Camera: Rotating rear camera (48 MP primary lens with f/2.0 aperture & PDAF + 8 MP Ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture + 3D TOF sensor)

11. Samsung Galaxy A71

Samsung Galaxy A71

Galaxy A71 is the latest premium mid-range smartphone in Samsung’s arsenal. As compared to its predecessor, It sports an upgraded quad camera setup of 64MP primary lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The display on the A71 is also aesthetically improved as you get a center lying punch-hole where its 32MP selfie camera resides.

It also improves on the performance department as you get a much better Snapdragon 730 chipset paired with 8GB of DDR4X RAM. Other specs like a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 4500mAh battery, and 25W fast charging remain the same as the Galaxy A70. The phone currently runs on Android 10 OS with OneUI 2.0 layered on top. With all of these features on-board, we think the Galaxy A71 is a decent Samsung midrange phone for around the price of Rs. 50,000 in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A71 Specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inches “Infinity-O” Super AMOLED with FullHD+ resolution
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 730

12. Samsung Galaxy A70s

Samsung Galaxy A70s

Samsung Galaxy A70s is an upgrade over the Galaxy A70. The phone has replaced the 32MP rear camera of the A70 with a new 64MP camera. So compared with the A70, you will get much sharper images here. However, this new 64MP GW1 sensor captures 16MP images by default. And it does so by combining four pixels into one.

The rest of the specs of the A70s, however, is quite similar to that of the Galaxy A70, which is quite disappointing for a successor. It houses a big 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, the same old Snapdragon 675 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a mammoth 4500mAh battery.

Samsung did manage to drop the price of A70s eventually after the launch of A71. At the new price of Rs. 43,799, the A70s is actually a decent phone if you are looking for a big-screen device.

Samsung Galaxy A70s Specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio
  • Rear Camera: Triple cameras – 64 MP primary camera, f/1.8 + 5 MP depth sensor, f/2.2 + 8 MP wide-angle lens, LED flash

13. Samsung Galaxy A51

The Galaxy A51 is also Samsung’s latest mid-range smartphone of 2020. Building on the success of the Galaxy A50, the A51 offers improvement in the display, design, and camera department.

Samsung Galaxy A51

The display is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with a center-lying punch hole just like Galaxy S20 and Note 10 series.

Galaxy A51 also has quad-cameras at the back, comprising of 48MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide-angle, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth sensor. There’s a 32MP selfie snapper on the front. Other features like 4000mAh battery, 10nm Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, are exactly the same as the Galaxy A50s.

The Galaxy A50s is an upgrade of the Galaxy A50, which was a huge success in the South Asian market. A50s brings an updated 48MP triple camera setup, a faster in-display fingerprint sensor, and a new gradient back design. However, other aspects remain the same as Galaxy A50.

Here you get a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, the Exynos 9611 chipset, and a 4000mAh battery. It runs on Android Pie 9.0 with One UI on top. However, Samsung is rolling out the Android 10 update in select regions. Like the A50, it also has a tiny dewdrop notch wherein sits its 32MP selfie snapper.

15. Samsung Galaxy M30s

Samsung Galaxy M30s is the follow-up model of the Galaxy M30, which didn’t launch here in Nepal. The Galaxy M30s stunned the mid-range market because of its humongous 6000mAh battery. It is arguably the best battery backup phone you can buy right now.

Samsung Galaxy M30s

The phone is powered by the same Exynos 9611 chipset, which promises slightly better performance than the Exynos 9610 equipped on the Galaxy A50. On to the camera front, the phone flaunts a triple camera setup at the back. The 48MP primary shooter is backed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 5MP depth sensor. On to the front, you get a 16MP selfie shooter.

Galaxy M30s is also the first smartphone in the M-series to have a Super AMOLED display. So, you will get vibrant colors in this one. But like mentioned earlier, the USP of the phone is its big 6000mAh battery. You also get a 15-watt fast charger inside the box.

16. Samsung Galaxy M31

Next up, we have the successor to the M30s. The new Galaxy M31 brings very little upgrades to the table, though it’s given-in to the quad-camera hype as well.

Samsung Galaxy M31

Talking about the cameras, there’s a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. The camera arrangement is similar to that of the M30s as well. Upfront, there is a ‘U’ shaped notch housing the 32MP selfie shooter. The 64MP primary lens is marginally better than that of M30s.

Besides this, there’s really not any difference between the two phones. It is powered by the same Exynos 9611 chipset, has a massive 6000mAh battery with support for 15W charging, a stunning 6.4-inches Super AMOLED display, and 6/8GB of RAM with either 64 or 128GB of internal storage.

17. Samsung Galaxy M21

Samsung Galaxy M21

Another kinda-sorta similar phone on the list is the Galaxy M21. Sharing a lot of similarities with other ‘M’-series phones on the list, the Galaxy M21 is not that interesting of a device. Like the Galaxy M31, this one was supposed to launch in mid-April as well, but that had been postponed due to the lockdown.

The highlights of the phone include a 6.4-inches Infinity ‘U’ Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 chipset, either 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage, a 48MP triple camera, and a big 6000mAh battery. Like with many other mid-range Samsung phones, this one doesn’t have many differences from its near-price brothers either.

Samsung Galaxy M21 Specs:

  • Display: 6.4-inches FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED
  • Chipset: Exynos 9611
  • RAM: 4/6GB

18. Samsung Galaxy A30s

The mid-range has grown to be immensely competitive in recent days, at least in markets like India and Nepal. And in that segment, the Galaxy A30s simply cannot be considered as a value-for-money device given the competition like Redmi Note 8 Pro. Despite multiple price drop, the Galaxy A30s still looks underpowered and overpriced.Samsung Galaxy A30s

First of all, the A30s doesn’t bring any huge improvement over the last-gen A30. The most noteworthy improvement here is only on the camera front. It comes with an improved 25MP triple camera setup as opposed to the dual camera of the A30. However, by improving the camera prowess of the phone on the one side, Samsung has equipped an inferior display.

The Galaxy A30 had a Full-HD display but on the A30s, there is a low-res HD+ panel. But underneath the display, you will get an in-display fingerprint scanner on the A30s. That being said, there is no improvement in the performance and battery as both remain the same as the A30.

Samsung Galaxy A30s Specs:

  • Display: 6.4 inches HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V
  • Chipset: Exynos 7904
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Storage: 128GB (expandable up to 512GB via micro SD card)
  • Rear Camera: Triple; 25MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP depth sensor

  • Security: Optical in-display Fingerprint-Scanner, Face unlock
  • Battery: 4000 mAh with 15W fast charging

19. Samsung Galaxy A20s

Samsung Galaxy A20sAcknowledging the naming scheme of the recent Samsung smartphones, one can easily guess Galaxy A20s to be a “slightly improved” version of the Galaxy A20. But when peeking into the specs-sheet, the A20s actually looks like a downgraded version of its predecessor.

Galaxy A20s has an inferior IPS LCD display and a less-powerful processor compared to A20. Nonetheless, the smartphone giant managed to make it “better” by incorporating an extra camera on the rear panel. In addition to the already existing main shooter and a depth sensor, you now get an ultra-wide-angle lens here too.

Samsung Galaxy A20s Specs:

  • Display: 6.5-inch HD+  IPS LCD Infinity-V display
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 450
  • RAM: 3/4GB
  • Storage: 32/64GB (expandable up to 512GB via micro SD card)

Powering the device is a 2600mAh battery. Because of low specs, the A2 core runs on the lite version of Android called “Android Go”. The Galaxy A2 core is an excellent budget option and ideal for first-time smartphone buyers. In fact, it’s one of the best phones under Rs. 10,000 in Nepal too.

Also, the price of Samsung smartphones in Nepal is almost similar to the Indian and other markets. It is even cheaper here in Nepal when you compare the high-end series.
