There's not much "Plus" about the X5d Plus at all.

Honor has announced two new budget-friendly phones, the X5d and X5d Plus. They are pretty much rocking the same specs, and what's worse is that the X5d duo are just a rebranded version of last year's Honor X5c and Honor X5c Plus. Let me tell you more about these two.
Honor X5d and X5d Plus Overview
Design and Display
So as I mentioned before, the Honor X5d and X5d Plus are simply rebranded X5c and X5c Plus. Both these phones come with a plastic body, a square camera island on the back, and they weigh around 186 grams each. They are also IP54 rated for protection against dust and water splashes. And the only difference between these two is that while the Honor X5d comes in “Tidal Blue” and “Midnight Black” color options, the X5d Plus is also available in a “Meteor Silver” finish.

Getting to the display, you're looking at a 6.74-inch TFT LCD panel here with a standard HD+ resolution. And for these budget phones, Honor has also capped their refresh rate to 90Hz—instead of a smoother 120Hz display that's more common in other affordable phones.
Performance and Software
Both the Honor X5d and X5d Plus come with a MediaTek Helio G81 chip inside, built on a 12nm process. This has been paired with 4GB RAM on both models, but while the Honor X5d gets just 64GB of internal storage, the Plus variant can be configured with 128GB or 256GB of storage. As for software, they run on MagicOS 9, based on Android 15. Just like the Honor X5c series.
With this chip, you can expect a fairly responsive experience in casual work like streaming YouTube, video calling, and scrolling through social media, but that's it. If you are looking to play games on this budget phone, you're in for some disappointment.

Camera and Battery
The cameras see no upgrade either. Honor X5d and X5d Plus bring a 5MP selfie camera like before, the regular X5d has a 13MP f/2.2 main camera, and the X5d Plus has a sharper 50MP f/1.8 rear camera.

Likewise, the Honor X5d series packs the same 5260mAh Li-Po battery that should last a full day of casual use. It supports 15W wired charging, and the good news is that Honor at least ships a compatible power brick inside the box itself. Other than this, these budget phones come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and support for dual 4G SIMs.
