Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Price in Nepal

Huawei has launched the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind in China, featuring built-in turbofan cooling and 8000 nits peak brightness. This guy comes with a Kirin 9030 Pro SoC built on a 6nm process, which is a noticeable upgrade over the Mate 70 Pro+'s Kirin 9020 SoC. This article will cover the details, including the expected Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Overview

      Display and Design

In terms of display, you get a smooth 120Hz gaming experience on the flat 6.9-inch 1.5K res LTPO OLED panel of the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind.  It can reach up to 8000-nit peak brightness and has a 300Hz touch sampling rate. So, sunlight readability shouldn't be a problem. On top of that, you get 1440Hz PWM dimming to help prevent eye strain during long sessions.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Display and Build

Moving on to the design, this phone has a premium look with a metal frame. The rear side houses a circular camera module with Xmage branding in the middle. One of the peculiar features is the presence of 1200 micro-ventilation holes around the module, which also serve as built-in fans and can block dust particles. This guy is available in Black and Gold finishes and weighs around 239 grams. Lastly, the phone is IP68/IP69 rated for dust and water resistance.

      Performance and Software

Under the hood, we get a Kirin 9030 Pro built on a 6nm process in the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind, which is better than the Kirin 9020 used in the 70 Pro+. But this phone's raw benchmark results are not up to the mark compared to the Snapdragon Gen 8 Elite Series. Still, some reports say this device will perform 43% better than its predecessor due to this SoC shift. It also features a 9-core architecture and Maleoon 935 GPU, with cores overclockable up to 3.0 GHz, thanks to a turbofan cooling layout. Memory-wise, we get 16GB of RAM, with two storage options: 512GB and 1TB. Overall, the day to day and gaming performance should be better due to a dedicated turbo fan.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Performance

On the software side, Mate 80 Pro Max Wind runs on HarmonyOS 6.0, which delivers 40% better performance than HarmonyOS 4, initially used on the 70 Pro+. Moreover, with Huawei's in-house SoC and OS combination, we can expect a better performance optimization on this phone.

      Camera and Battery

Moving on, Huawei is always known for its top-notch cameras. But this time, it has omitted the quad-cameras we saw on the 70 Pro+. Instead, we get a triple camera setup now. There is a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with 100x digital and 4X optical zoom on the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind. It also has a 40MP RYYB ultrawide module with OIS. Up front, we see a 13MP wide-angle sensor paired with a 3D depth sensor for video calls and selfies. We can shoot 4K video from both the front and back, with gyro-EIS, as we saw on the S26 Ultra. Plus, the new active cooling framework from turbofan in this device to accommodate heating issues during continuous gaming and video editing.

Likewise, this device packs a 6000 mAh battery that will last a whole day with moderate use. Since Mate 80 Pro Max Wind also includes a dedicated fan for heat dissipation, we might not see the fast battery drain issue that is most common in gaming phones during long sessions. Further, we get 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging along with 18W wired and 20W wireless reverse charging. It also includes satellite calling and messaging for the China model, though global availability of this feature is still unclear.
