Hauwei Nova 15 Ultra debuts with Satellite connectivity and 6500mAh battery

Huawei has launched the Nova 15 Ultra smartphone in China alongside the Nova 15 and Nova 15 Pro models. The device is positioned in the upper mid-range segment and focuses primarily on photography. This article will discuss the specs, features, and expected price of the Huawei Nova 15 Ultra in Nepal.

Huawei Nova 15 Ultra Overview

Design and Display

As a Huawei phone, the Nova 15 Ultra offers elegant aesthetics. The rear side is eye-catching, featuring a circular camera module and a circular flash housing. This device is very slim at just 6.8mm, while integrating a sturdy Kunlun glass, a metal frame, and a fiberglass back panel. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water- and dust-resistance.

In terms of display, the Huawei Nova 15 Ultra features a 6.84-inch flat OLED panel with a 2856 × 1320-pixel resolution. It supports 10.7 billion colors, P3 wide color gamut, and features a 1–120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate. The display peaks at 4000 nits brightness, features 2160Hz PWM dimming, Kunlun Glass with anti-reflective coating, and offers AI HDR and eye-care features.

Performance

The Kirin 9010S chipset powers the device and runs HarmonyOS 6. According to Huawei, the chipset delivers an 18% performance increase over the previous generation, with system-level optimizations to improve overall responsiveness and gaming frame stability. 

But due to US sanctions, Kirin chipsets still fall a long way behind Mediatek and Snapdragon counterparts. Huawei has paired the chip with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of internal storage, but has remained quiet on the RAM configurations.

Camera

The Nova 15 Ultra features Huawei’s Dual Red Maple Imaging system with a rear setup of three 50MP RYYB sensors. The main camera boasts a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and optical image stabilization. It also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, along with a 50MP ultra-wide macro camera. 

A 1.5MP Red Maple color sensor handles color data processing. On the front, there is a 50MP portrait camera paired with a Red Maple multispectral sensor, supporting 4K video and AIS stabilization.
