iQOO 15T officially launches — and it packs almost everything a mobile gamer could ask for

iQOO has officially introduced its gaming-focused flagship smartphone, iQOO 15T. Expanding its flagship lineup, it sits below the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra while still offering premium features. The phone comes with a 2K LTPO AMOLED display, a 200MP main camera, a Dimensity 9500 Monster chipset, and a massive 8000mAh battery, making it an excellent performance-centric device. So, in this article, I will discuss the iQOO 15T, including its specs, features, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

iQOO 15T Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the iQOO 15T has a sleek, clean, and premium aesthetic similar to the iQOO 15 Ultra. It features a matte-finish frame designed to resist smudges and reduce heat buildup. The phone has a “squircle” camera module positioned at the top-left of the rear panel, housing dual visible lenses and an LED flash. 

It measures 8.25mm thin, weighs around 216g, and has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security. Additionally, it comes with an IP68/IP69 dust-tight and water-resistant rating, making the phone highly durable under harsh conditions. The phone is available in Track Version (Black), Legendary Edition (White), and Qingyun (Azure Cloud gradient) color options.

In terms of display, the iQOO 15T features a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate for smooth gameplay. It reaches up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, offering perfect visibility even in bright outdoor environments. 

The screen supports HDR10+ and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut to deliver vibrant, high-contrast visuals. Moreover, for advanced eye protection, it also features 2,592Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain during extended use. 

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the iQOO 15T comes with a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition SoC, built on a 3nm node with an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 4.21GHz. It is paired with a dedicated Q3 graphics chip, which supports real-time ray tracing and up to 144fps for a tear-free and smooth gaming experience. 

This combination helps the phone maintain fast speeds for longer gaming sessions and other intensive workloads without overheating. The phone is configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.

On the software side, the iQOO 15T runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. You can expect 5 years of major upgrades and 7 years of security updates.

For the optics, the iQOO 15T features a dual camera setup, where you get a 200MP main sensor with f/1.88 aperture, OIS, and a CIPA 4.5-grade stabilization rating, allowing you to shoot in low-light environments without making the photos or videos look blurry. 

It is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and even without a telephoto lens, the camera system supports 4x lossless zoom, up to 40x digital zoom, and up to 8K video recording. This means even if it is a performance-centric phone, you can expect good photography with it. On the front, it has a 16MP camera with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies and supports up to 1080p video recording. 

Another highlight of the iQOO 15T is its battery; the phone packs a huge 8,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It also supports reverse charging, offering flexibility to charge other devices and bypass charging, which helps keep temperatures lower during gaming while plugged in.

If the phone is announced here, you can expect the iQOO 15T price in Nepal to be around NPR 86,499 for the 12/256GB variant and NPR 129,799 for the top configuration.
