The Middleton II keeps that iconic guitar amp aesthetic with its textured leather-style exterior and the signature Marshall script logo.¹ It’s built quite tough with an IP67 rating.² One small but helpful change from the original is the top panel; the buttons are now raised, and there’s a dedicated power button. 

Audio Performance and Software

Under the grille, you’ve got a quad-driver setup with two 30W woofers and two 10W tweeters.⁴ It uses Marshall’s "True Stereophonic" technology to push sound in 360 degrees, so it doesn't really matter where you're standing in relation to the speaker.⁵ It also supports Auracast, which is a newer Bluetooth feature that lets you broadcast audio to other compatible speakers nearby, regardless of the brand.⁶ You can also tweak the sound using the physical bass and treble knobs on top or go deeper with a 5-band EQ in the Marshall Bluetooth app.
