MediaTek has launched the Dimensity 7100 chipset. This new chipset is presumed to be the successor to the Dimensity 7050. It brings few upgrades, and that includes support for 200MP cameras, 45W fast charging with UFCS universal adapters, and ultra-long-range Bluetooth that works over kilometers without cellular service. This article will discuss everything about the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, including its specifications and expected devices. Let's dive!
MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Overview
Performance and Architecture

The Dimensity 7100 uses an octa-core CPU configuration with 4× Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and 4× Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz. The GPU is an Arm Mali-G610 MC2. The chip is built on a 6nm manufacturing process, which is the same node as the Dimensity 7050. Similarly, for memory, it includes support for LPDDR5 up to 5500Mbps and LPDDR4x up to 4266Mbps, with UFS 3.1 storage support.
Camera and Display Support
The Dimensity 7100 supports camera sensors up to 200MP, which is an upgrade from the 7050's 108MP limit. Similarly, the maximum display resolution is 1200 × 2600 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the chip supports Billion Color HDR displays. MediaTek has also introduced a new power-management system with the Dimensity 7100, along with integrated 45W fast charging that supports UFCS universal fast-charging adapters.

Connectivity
The 5G modem supports dual 5G SIM with a peak downlink speed of 3.3Gbps. Their 5G UltraSave 3.0+ technology is also included on the chipset. Moreover, the chip supports a wide range of cellular technologies including 2G/3G/4G/5G multi-mode, carrier aggregation on both 4G and 5G, 256QAM NR uplink, VoNR, Dual VoNR, and EPS fallback.
For wireless connectivity, the Dimensity 7100 supports Wi-Fi 6 with 1T1R antenna configuration and Bluetooth 5.4. One interesting addition is ultra-long-range Bluetooth, which enables direct phone-to-phone Bluetooth connections over distances up to kilometers without requiring cellular service.
