Nubia has officially launched the Fold in Japan, alongside the Flip3. The Fold is all about that big-screen experience, packing an 8-inch main display and dual 120Hz OLED screens. It went on sale in Japan on December 4, 2025, and is likely to expand to other markets in 2026. Now, let's jump in this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest nubia Fold, including its specifications, availability, and pricing.
Nubia Fold Overview
Design and Display

The nubia Fold follows a book-style foldable form factor. When opened, it measures 144 × 160 × 5.4 mm, which is pretty thin for a foldable with such a large display. Folded, it's 73 × 160 × 11.1 mm and weighs 249g. It carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and comes in Black only. You get both fingerprint (side-mounted on the power button) and face recognition for biometric authentication.
The main inner display is an 8.0-inch OLED panel with 2,480 × 2,200 px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Similarly, the cover display is a 6.5-inch OLED with 2,748 × 1,172 px resolution, also running at 120Hz.
Performance
So unlike, the Flip3, which was a midrange device, the Fold is actually a flagship device. Although it doesn't run on this year's flagship chipset, it is powered by last year's flagship chipset — Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. It's an octa-core processor with cores clocked at 4.32 GHz and 3.53 GHz, and is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Similarly, it runs Android 15 out of the box.
Nubia's packed in several AI features here: an AI call assistant that lets you respond via text when busy, call translation and transcription, an AI meeting translator, and an AI gaming assistant with game-specific tools. There's also support for up to 10-device Wi-Fi tethering, emergency alerts, and international roaming.
Camera System
The Fold features a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, there's a 20MP camera on the main display and another 20MP camera on the cover display. Other than that you are getting some features like auto-focus, image stabilisation, and different creative modes and other typical stuff.
Battery and Rest
The Nubia Fold packs a 6,560 mAh battery, which is quite substantial, if you look at the battery of the Flip3. Plus, it also supports 55W fast charging.
Finally, the connectivity includes nanoSIM + eSIM support, 5G networks with a max 5G downlink of 2.6 Gbps and 4G downlink of 838 Mbps. You're also getting Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC for mobile payments, and infrared communication.
