Design and Display

The Find X9 Ultra is expected to move to a flat display, dropping the curved screen from the X8 Ultra. The panel is reportedly a BOE X3 OLED with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, though a tipster has noted that retail units may ship at 120Hz. Screen size is tipped at 6.82 inches, identical to the X8 Ultra. IP68 and IP69 dual ratings are expected to carry over, and the frame material remains aluminum. Color options rumored so far are black, brown, and orange.

Performance

The Find X9 Ultra is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same chip tipped for phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Storage remains UFS 4.1, the same as the X8 Ultra. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will surely bring significant performance gains over the first-gen Elite, with leaked benchmark scores for AnTuTu results around 3.8 million.

Camera

The camera setup is rumored to be: A 200MP Sony Lytia 901 primary sensor, replacing the 50MP LYT-900 on the X8 Ultra. A 200MP periscope telephoto with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, replacing the 50MP 1/1.56-inch 3x telephoto. A 50MP ultrawide. A 50MP 6x telephoto using a Samsung JN5 sensor. And up front, a 50MP selfie camera, up from 32MP on the X8 Ultra.

There's also a rumored 300mm teleconverter kit accessory that attaches to the phone, similar to what Vivo offered with the X300 Ultra. We don't know if that actually makes it to market, but the hardware is apparently being tested for it.
