Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini launched with 200MP camera and 6,200mAh battery in a compact body

Oppo has launched the Reno 15 Pro Mini, and this is the first time the Oppo has introduced a "Pro Mini" variant in the Reno lineup. The phone anyway, packs semi-flagship level specs, which includes a 200MP main camera, 6,200mAh battery, and MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This article will discuss everything about the latest Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini, including its specifications and availability. Now, lets get into the details!

Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini Overview

Design and Display

The Reno 15 Pro Mini introduces what Oppo calls the new “HoloFusion Technology” on the back panel. In a nutshell, this creates a 3D layered visual effect on a one-piece sculpted glass that changes appearance depending on the angle and light. The Glacier White variant features a 3D ribbon pattern created using this technique, while Cocoa Brown comes with a much more traditional finish. The camera module uses what Oppo calls a “Dynamic Stellar Ring Design.” Which is a square-ring layout that produces a soft halo-like glow when light hits it.

At 7.99mm thick and weighing approximately 187g, the phones come very compact, that is a 6.32-inch display. It uses an LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1216 × 2640 pixels) and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It also hits pretty high on brightness with 3,600 nits, with 600 nits typical brightness and 1,800 nits in HBM (High Brightness Mode). The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with AGC DT-STAR D+ and supports both Splash Touch and Glove Touch. 

The IP ratings are also exceptional. You are getting three of them: IP66 for splash resistance, IP68 for water immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes, and IP69 for high-pressure hot water. The USB port is also platinum-coated to resist corrosion. 

Camera System

The Reno 15 Pro Mini features a triple rear camera setup, which is by the way same as in what you would find in the regular 15 Pro. It includes a 200MP ultra-clear main camera, a 50MP 3.5× telephoto portrait camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with approximately 100° field of view.

Oppo's packed in several AI imaging features as well. The PureTone Technology, . Ultra-Clear Group Photo, Golden Ultra-Wide Portrait, the AI Editor 3.0, AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo are some of those features.

For video, the phone shoots 4K HDR at up to 60fps across all cameras—front, main, ultra-wide, and telephoto. The front camera also includes a wider 0.6× ultra-wide mode. 

Performance and Cooling

The Reno 15 Pro Mini runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 (4nm) with an All-Big-Core design (8 × Cortex-A725 cores). For cooling, Oppo has opted for the “Nano Dual-Drive Cooling” with a vapor chamber and aerospace graphite. Other than that, there are also similar AI related features like the AI HyperBoost 2.0, which includes AI Adaptive Temperature Control or AI Adaptive Frame Booster for gaming. 

Battery and Charging

Similarly, the battery size here is pretty standard as you get these days. However, it must be said that a 6,200mAh battery, is indeed very big for a compact phone.  And it gets its charge from an 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.

Software and Rest

The Reno 15 Pro Mini runs ColorOS 16 with deep Google Gemini integration and comes with a 6-Year Fluency Protection certification. Oppo's included several AI productivity tools: AI Call Summary, AI Call Translator, AI VoiceScribe, AI Recording, and AI Translate, supporting 30+ languages.

For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Nano-SIM slots, and eSIM support. And finally, the audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with 2-mic noise cancellation, and there's an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback.
