POCO F8 Ultra is official, and it enters premium flagship territory as their most powerful phone yet. It's packing a dual-chipset setup, a triple-speaker system tuned by Bose, and the biggest battery ever in the F Series. Now, let's jump in this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest POCO F8 Ultra, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

      POCO F8 Ultra Overview

      Design

      undefined

The F8 Ultra is Poco's largest phone to date, sporting a massive 6.9-inch display, which is noticeably bigger than the F8 Pro's 6.59-inch screen. The bezels are also incredibly thin: 1.5mm on three sides and 1.68mm on the bottom, the narrowest POCO's ever achieved.

The build varies depending on which color you pick. The Denim Blue variant uses Xiaomi's third-generation nano-tech material. Despite the name, there's no actual denim fabric here. The Black variant goes with glass fiber construction, offering a matte-gloss finish that's lighter and more refined.

Both versions feature aluminum alloy frames, camera deco, and lens barrels for that premium flagship feel. The phone's protected by Poco Shield Glass and carries IP68 dust and water resistance. Here weight also differs by variant: Denim Blue sits at 220g while Black comes in at 218g. They're 8.3mm and 7.9mm thick, respectively.

      Display

The display itself is called the “POCO HyperRGB”, in other words, it's a new tech that utilizes all red-green-blue subpixels. The resolution you are getting is 2608 x 1200, and Poco claims it delivers 2K-like clarity while consuming 19.5% less power than the F7 Ultra. Similarly, peak brightness hits 3500 nits, with 1-nit minimum for late-night use. You also get 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling, and all-day DC dimming for eye comfort.

      Performance

The F8 Ultra runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is perhaps the best chipset you can get your hands on. It's built on 3nm process with cores clocked at up to 4.6GHz.

And other than that, they've added a VisionBoost D8 chipset, which works alongside the main processor. This dual-chip architecture unlocks three key gaming features: Smart Frame Rate up to 120 FPS, Super Resolution up to 1.5K, and Game HDR. The VisionBoost D8 also introduces a new GEX module that enables AI Super Resolution for five optimized titles, including Genshin Impact, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Honkai: Star Rail.

      Cooling System

While the F8 Pro uses a triple-layer IceLoop system, the Ultra goes with a dual-layer setup optimized differently. It features a 6700mm² cooling area with dual convex channels and a dual-loop structure that accounts for heat from both the mainboard and camera module. The first layer has a larger convex surface aligned with the mainboard, while the second layer focuses on the SoC with a smaller convex surface.

      Audio System

And another headliner is the Sound provided in the Poco F8 Ultra is by Bose technology with a triple-speaker setup. The F8 Ultra implements a 2.1-channel architecture: dual symmetric speakers plus a tablet-level subwoofer.

You get the same two sound profiles as the Pro: "Dynamic" for full bass with emotional depth, and "Balanced" for purer vocals. But with the extra hardware, the Ultra should ultimately deliver richer, more immersive sound across gaming, movies etc. It's certified for Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Wireless, and Dolby Atmos.

      Camera

The camera setup is also more versatile than the F8 Pro's. The main sensor is a 50MP Light Fusion 950 with a larger 1/1.31" sensor and OIS.  But the real differentiator is the telephoto camera. While the Pro has 2.5x optical zoom, the Ultra features a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto with OIS. It supports 5x optical zoom, 10x in-sensor zoom, and up to 20X UltraZoom. You can also shoot close-ups from just 30cm away.

Similarly, the motion capture feature adapts to fast-moving subjects, and “Super Moon Mode” automatically activates at 20X zoom for detailed lunar shots. The 50MP ultra-wide rounds out the system, and the 32MP front camera features an auto 0.8X intelligent wide-angle mode for group shots.

      Battery and Charging

The F8 Ultra packs a 6500mAh battery, which is the largest ever in the F Series. Poco here claims over 15 hours of continuous use, or 10+ hours of gaming and WhatsApp calls.

But the charging options are more flexible here. You get 100W wired HyperCharge (same as Pro), but the Ultra adds 50W wireless HyperCharge, something the Pro doesn't have. Both support 22.5W reverse charging. It comes with features like smart Charging, which adjusts speed and power distribution based on battery level, temperature, and app usage.

      Software and Connectivity

Running on Android 16m with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 skin on top, the Ultra includes HyperIsland for multitasking notifications, HyperConnect for cross-device file sharing, and HyperAI with AI Writing tools and Gemini integration.

Similarly, the connectivity feature includes eSIM support and Xiaomi Astral Communication with three components: Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, Xiaomi Surge T1+ Tuner (the Pro only has T1+), and Xiaomi Offline Communication. The Ultra also supports Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7.
