Apple MacBook Air M1 is among the first Macs to be powered by an Arm-based M1 chip. The silicon brings a wealth of performance gains that extends to the battery life, too. On the front is a 13.3-inch LED backlit IPS panel that supports TrueTone technology to dynamically adjust the white balance of the display to match the ambiance around you. All of this is housed within a small and compact aluminum chassis weighing only 1.29 kg. Although it has just been surpassed by the MacBook Air M2, it remains a good value for money given that the new MacBook costs USD 200 more.

Compared to its predecessor, the design of the Apple MacBook AirApple MacBook Air M1 has remained the same. Even the dimension and weight are identical. The biggest difference between the two is the use of M1 silicon in the MacBook Air 2020. With this Apple is claiming up to 3.5x faster performance, up to 5x faster graphics, and up to 9x faster Machine learning tasks. Similarly, the storage controller and the latest flash technology in the M1 also result in 2x SSD performance. Here, the Apple MacBook Air M1 has a fan-less design. Thus, the device will remain silent no matter what you do in it. With M1’s latest ISP, the MacBook Air will have better noise reduction, greater dynamic range, improved auto white balance, and ML-enhanced face detection.

      Apple MacBook Air 2020
Its 13.3″ Retina display supports P3 wide color and offers up to 400nits of brightness. As far as memory is concerned, Apple is offering up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD. TheApple MacBook Air M1 supports Wi-Fi 6 along with Bluetooth 5.0. Users also get three USB Type-C ports (including one Thunderbolt 3 port) and a headphone jack.

The M1 chip has a feature called the Secure Enclave. This feature is a strong and reliable security component. It has a key role in supporting the Touch ID. The Touch ID allows users to unlock their device in a fast, simple, and secure way. Additionally, the Touch ID works smoothly with Apple Pay. Apple Pay is Apple’s service for mobile payments and digital wallets. With this integration, users can make secure online payments. They just need to use their fingerprints. This adds an extra level of convenience and security to their online transactions. So, the Secure Enclave in the M1 chip not only supports device unlocking but also secure online payments.

In addition to these impressive features, the Apple MacBook Air M1 also brings significant improvements in terms of battery life. The battery endurance of devices powered by the M1 chip has been enhanced to provide up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge. This is a substantial increase that allows users to use their devices for longer periods without worrying about running out of battery. Whether you’re working, streaming, or browsing, you can do more of what you love without being tethered to a power outlet.
