Design and Display

The Apple Watch Series 12 retains the sleek and lightweight design of its predecessor while introducing new case materials and finishes. It is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, with aluminum, titanium, and ceramic case options. The aluminum model comes in Dark Bronze, Light Gold, Black, and Space Gray, while the titanium version is available in Radiant Gold and Natural. The ceramic variant comes in Pearl White and Night Blue. The watch is also WR 50M water resistant and IP6X dust resistant.

The 42mm model features a 374 x 446-pixel display, while the 46mm version gets a 416 x 496-pixel resolution. Both use an Always-On Retina display with wide-angle OLED and LTPO3 technology, with a 1Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The aluminum models feature Ceramic Shield 2, while the titanium and ceramic versions use a sapphire front crystal for added durability.

Performance and Features

Under the hood, the Apple Watch Series 12 is powered by Apple's S11 chip with a 64-bit dual-core processor and a 4-core Neural Engine. It also comes with 64GB of internal storage. The watch offers up to 24 hours of normal battery life, which can extend to 38 hours in Low Power Mode. Fast charging can provide up to 12 hours of additional normal use with just 15 minutes of charging.

The Series 12 also brings an upgraded health-sensing system with a third-generation electrical heart sensor, an always-on optical heart sensor, a blood oxygen sensor, and a temperature sensor. It supports features such as ECG, heart-rate notifications, sleep apnea notifications, sleep scores, the Vitals app, the Readiness app, cycle tracking, and hypertension notifications. It also supports 5G connectivity on compatible cellular models, along with GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, and a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip.
