Design and Display

On the front, the iPhone 12 flaunts a 6.1-inch OLED panel covered with a Gorilla Glass for protection against accidental drops and scratches. There is also an IP68 designation for dust and water resistance. The screen has a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels and can get rather bright at 1200nits of peak brightness. Design-wise, as is customary with iPhones, you get a boxy design and the smartphone also has an oleophobic coating to prevent fingerprints and smudges. On the other hand, the frames are made up of aerospace-grade aluminum.

Performance

Powering the handset is Apple's in-house A14 Bionic chip. To note, this is the world's first 5nm silicon that boasts 11.8 billion transistors, a 4-core GPU, faster machine learning accelerators, and a 6-core CPU. Apple claims 50% faster CPU and GPU performance than the A13 Bionic. In terms of storage, you can choose between 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB options.

Moving on, the camera stack at the back is comprised of two 12MP lenses. One is a main sensor, while the other is an ultrawide sensor. Not to forget, the main camera also has optical image stabilization (OIS) for steadier footage. Speaking of which, one can record up to 4K@60fps videos. The selfie camera is likewise 12MP and can capture videos at up to 4K@60fps. Juicing up this entire tech is a 2815mAh cell that supports 20W charging and 15W Magsafe and 7.5W Qi wireless charging. However, the company doesn't ship the compatiable charger inside the box.
