iPhone 13 Overview:
Design and Display
The iPhone 13 features the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display as its predecessor. However, the company has trimmed the front notch by 20% this time around. It boasts Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and back; while the frames are made up of aluminum. Yet, unlike the Pro models, the non-pro models of the iPhone 13 do not include a 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance
The Apple A15 Bionic chip is the most significant upgrade in the iPhone 13. This new processor is fabricated on TSMC’s 5nm process node and packs 15 billion transistors. It features a 6-core CPU and a 4-core GPU, and its 16-core Neural Engine can perform 15.8 trillion operations per second (TOPS). Likewise, it is fueled by a 3,240mAh cell that supports 20W wired, 15W MagSafe Wireless, and 7.5W Qi Wireless charging. As is customary, you have to buy the charger separately.
Camera, Others
On the camera front, you get a pair of 12MP lenses on the rear. It can catch 47% more light than last year, and also has sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the front is a 12MP TrueDepth camera. The iPhone 13 also enjoys cinematic mode which automatically shifts the focus between subjects based on their movement.
