Design

Beginning with the buds themselves, Tune 230NC is an in-ear fit with different sizes of silicone tips found inside the box mentioned above. These earpieces weigh around 10.2 grams. Not the lightest out there, but not that heavy too. And the IPX4 rating is a plus.

Audio related features

For audio, the JBL Tune 230NC boasts 6-mm drivers with a sensitivity of 105 dB and an impedance of 16Ω. SBC and AAC are provided as codecs. Similarly, there is ANC that can be enabled using the touch controls or the app for noise cancellation whenever you want to focus on the music. This is achieved by virtue of the presence of a 4-mic system. Additionally, modes found in 230NC like Ambient Aware and TalkThru help you know about your surroundings without having to remove the buds from your ears. Plus, the same mics also help you cancel noise from your voice whenever you are on a call.

Battery and charging

The battery life of the Tune 230NC seems pretty promising, as it provides 10 hours of battery life alone. This drops to 8 hours of life if you have ANC enabled all the time. Besides, we haven't even talked about the case yet. The case adds 30 hours of life to your music and 24 hours with ANC. That's triple the life of buds alone. Charging is also quick, with 10 minutes of charge providing you with 2 hours of playback thanks to Speed Charging.
