Here's a short description of the design aesthetic, chipset, and battery life of the Lenovo Legion 5 2021 (Ryzen 7).

Design, Display

The 2021 edition of Legion 5 features an all-plastic build quality. There's a subtle "Legion" branding on the top left corner of the laptop's lid and a "Lenovo" branding on the bottom right. As for cooling, Lenovo says its "Legion Coldfront 3.0" technology helps deliver great performance with zero throttling even under long gaming sessions. The slightly more premium Legion 5 Pro has an even better thermal system, by the way.

Anyway, this cooling solution includes two fans with quad-channel exhaust and a large air intake vent at the bottom and underneath each keyboard switch. The laptop comes in two finishes: Phantom Black and Phantom Blue. But you can also find the Stingray White color option in certain markets. Upfront, you're getting a 15.6" Full HD IPS LCD screen with an anti-glare coating on top. Likewise, the Legion 5 (2021) is available with two display configurations in total:

• 165Hz refresh rate, 300 nits brightness, 100% sRGB, Dolby Vision

Performance

In terms of performance, this gaming laptop brings AMD + NVIDIA combo. It is available with a single CPU choice, i.e. Ryzen 7 5800H, whereas GPU options range from RTX 3050 to RTX 3070. Only the RTX 3050 Ti (95W) and RTX 3060 (130W) variants are currently available in Nepal. These GPUs have been complemented with 4GB and 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, respectively.

As for memory, you can install up to 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM here. The Legion 5 (2021)'s base model usually arrives with 512GB SSD but you can bump it up to 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD as well.

Moving on, this gaming laptop features a Legion TrueStrike keyboard with 4-zone RGB lighting. You can customize the lighting pattern under the Lenovo Vantage app. Port options on the Legion 5 (2021) include 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x RJ45, 1x 3.5mm combo audio jack, and an E-shutter button on the right. Contrary to a physical webcam shutter, this button toggles the camera on/off.

When it comes to battery, this gaming laptop has been paired with either a 60 or 80 Wh battery depending on the GPU configuration. Similarly, they fuel up via a 230W or a 300W AC adapter, respectively.
