Design and Display

The Redmi A3 comes in a plastic frame, however, offers a glass or PU back for a more premium feel. It flaunts a large circular camera module on the back and ships in three colour options. This includes Midnight Black, Olive Green, and Lake Blue. On the front, you are getting a 6.71-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution on the Redmi A3. To be more specific, the screen spans 1,650 x 720 pixels. Additionally, you also get a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. Pretty standard so far. However, what is special about this display is that it features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection!

Performance and Camera

Under the hood, the Redmi A3 packs a MediaTek Helio G36 processor. This processor comes with eight cores and a 12nm lithography. Other than that, this silicone peaks at 2.2 GHz frequency and is assisted by PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Additional hardware includes up to 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Meanwhile, it offers external storage support of up to 1TB via a MicroSD card. An 8MP primary unit leads the camera department. While you do get a dual-camera setup on the back, the auxiliary lens is basically useless. In the meantime, a 5MP shooter handles the selfie duties on the Redmi A3. In the tank, you get a 5,000 mAh cell with standard 10W charging capability. For wireless connectivity, you get dual SIM 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth v5.3 support. On top of that, you also get navigation through a four-way satellite. In the meantime, a wired connection is handled by a USB Type-C port and a headphone jack.
