Redmi A4 5G Overview:

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi A4 5G at the Indian Mobile Congress (2024). To do this, it has tied up with SoC giant Qualcomm and the phone takes the crown as the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset.

Design and Display

Beginning with the design, the Redmi A4 5G borrows its appearance from the recently unveiled Redmi 14C. You get the identical Oreo-shaped camera module and a U-shaped notch display upfront. Talking of the latter, it is a 6.88-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120hz. Other than that, it also boast a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Snapdragon 4s Gen 2

The star of the show on the Redmi A4 is its processor: Snapdragon 4s Gen 2. This budget SoC from Qualcomm boasts an energy-efficient 4nm fabrication process and 5G connectivity. You get a similar architecture to the 4 Gen 2, just slightly underclocked cores. To put it into a picture, you get 2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores here, which should provide a better overall performance and gaming in the budget segment.

Camera, Battery, and Others

As for the optics, the smartphone bears a 50MP rear camera alongside a secondary camera. Fueling the phone is likely a 5000mAh battery, following the common norms of the budget segment contenders. Moreover, what’s more considerable is that the phone will support gigabit-fast connectivity speed on 5G.
