Each bud is merely only 3.65 grams, making them lightweight and comfortable for prolonged use. Additionally, their case of 34.7 grams contributes to their overall portability.

Ensuring durability, Xiaomi has obtained an IPX4 splash resistance rating for the Redmi Buds 4 Active, safeguarding them against light splashes here and there. However, the earbuds are available in only one color option: Black.

Audio

Regarding audio performance, the Redmi Buds 4 Active boasts 12mm dynamic drivers, tuned by Xiaomi’s Acoustic Lab. However, it’s essential to note that these earbuds support only the SBC audio codec, which may lead to playback quality issues when used with iPhones.

It lacks active noise cancellation (ANC), which is quite ironic for the TWS named Buds 4 Active. And when it comes to connectivity, the Redmi Buds 4 Active features Bluetooth 5.3. The earbuds also support the “Google Fast Pair” protocol, facilitating swift pairing with Android smartphones. Besides, users also have the option to customize various aspects of the earbuds through the “Xiaomi Earbuds” app at this price range.
