Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy A05 is an all-plastic phone with a rounded rectangle shape and has a polished and patterned finish. It measures 168.8 x 78.20 x 8.80 mm and weighs 195 grams. It is available in three colours: Black, Silver, and Light Green. For display, the phone features a 6.7” display with a waterdrop camera cutout that is centrally aligned. It is a PLS LCD with HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) resolution and a colour depth of 16 million.

Performance and Battery

Samsung has opted for Mediatek's Helio G85 on the Galaxy A05. It is an octa-core processor built on a 12nm fabrication process and can achieve a peak clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Furthermore, the SoC is coupled with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. We can further expand the storage up to 1 TB via a MicroSD card. It runs on Android 13 with OneUI on top of it. With this combination, Galaxy A05 should be able to meet your basic gaming needs. As a power supply, the Samsung Galaxy A05s goes with a 5,000 mAh non-removable cell. The phone supports 25W fast charging via Type-C. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-band WiFi, dual SIM 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.3, and a four-way navigation system. It also has a headphone jack, however, it misses out on NFC and MHL support.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A05 comes with three cameras altogether. On the back, we get a dual camera setup with 2MP + 50MP, laid vertically on top of one another. The top camera is a depth sensor with f/2.4 maximum aperture. The bottom camera is the primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, we get an 8 MP sensor with a maximum aperture of f/2.0.
