Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy A05s is an all-plastic phone with a rounded rectangle shape and a glittery finish. It measures 168 x 77.80 x 8.80 mm and weighs 194 grams. It is available in three colours: Black, Silver, and Light Green. For display, the phone features a 6.7” display with a waterdrop camera cutout that is centrally aligned. It is a PLS LCD with FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution and a colour depth of 16 million.

Performance and Battery

Samsung has opted to replace their proprietary Exynos chip with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680 this time around on the Galaxy A05s. It is an octa-core processor built on a 6nm fabrication process and is able to achieve a peak clock speed of 2.4 GHz. Furthermore, the SoC is coupled with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. We can further expand the storage up to 1 TB via a MicroSD card. It runs on Android 13 with OneUI 5 on top of it. With this combination, Galaxy A05s should be able to assist you in basic gaming pretty easily. And maybe even some demanding games on low settings. As a power supply, the Samsung Galaxy A05s goes with a 5,000 mAh non-removable cell. The phone supports 25W fast charging via Type-C. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-band WiFi, dual SIM 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, and a five-way navigation system. It also has a headphone jack, however, it misses out on NFC and MHL support.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A05s comes with four cameras altogether. On the back, we get a triple camera setup with 2MP + 50MP + 2MP, laid vertically on top of one another. The top and bottom cameras are a macro lens and depth sensor respectively with f/2.4 maximum aperture. The central one is the primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, we get a 13 MP sensor.
