Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Overview
Display and Design
The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a slightly bigger screen compared to the S24 Ultra i.e. 6.9-inch QHD+ LTPO display with a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. Its peak brightness is 2600 nits, which ensures clarity even in bright outdoor conditions.
On the design side, Samsung has now ditched the classic boxy looks and replaced them with more rounded corners. The materials being used here are Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on both the back and front, with titanium frames between. Meanwhile, the phone has multiple titanium-inspired color options, including Black, Gray, Silver Blue, and White Silver. Similarly, the phone is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 218 grams, which is much thinner than its predecessor S24 Ultra, considering it weighs 232gm.
Camera System
The device boasts a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, it includes a 12MP wide front camera for selfies and video calls. The phone now supports LOG mode through which you can shoot videos at a professional level and level it up to a much higher ascension in post-production. It supports up to 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K at 60fps.
Performance and Battery
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is built for heavy multitasking and gaming. It includes up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Furthermore, it packs a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Software and Updates
The phone runs on One UI 7 and is promised up to seven years of software updates. In addition to retaining AI features from its predecessors, it introduces a new “Galaxy AI” platform. Galaxy AI offers features like conversational search, personalized recommendations, and “Circle to Search,” which can recognize sounds, among others. Moreover, the latest S25 Ultra supports Gemini 2.0, developed in partnership with Google, enhancing the user experience with an added touch of Google’s unique innovations.
