Design

Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro features the same glass-metal hybrid build quality with aluminum frames and back as the vanilla Pad 6. The tablet is pretty thin at just 6.5mm, while the weight is 490 grams. The Pad 6 is available in two color options: Black, Blue, and Gold.

Display

Upfront, this Pro variant sports a large 11" IPS LCD panel with a sharp 2.8K WQHD resolution. It also enjoys a smooth 144Hz refresh rate alongside a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Besides this, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro's screen has a 10-bit color depth and it is also HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified for HDR playback on streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This display is encased inside minimal bezels on all four sides. But Xiaomi has made sure that the bezels are adequately thick enough to prevent any accidental touches when you're holding the tablet. Moreover, since it bears a 16:10 aspect ratio, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro's screen doesn't suffer from letterboxes when you're watching videos as much as you would on the 9th Gen iPad.

Performance

On the performance front, the tab packs the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. This chipset has an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X2 (@3.19 GHz), three Cortex-A710 (@2.75 GHz), and four Cortex-A510 (@1.80 GHz). For graphics, there is an integrated Adreno 730 GPU. Memory-wise, the tab is available for up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Unfortunately, it doesn't support expandable storage. As far as software goes, it runs on a special fork of MIUI 14 based on Android 13, called "MIUI for Pad" with a handful of tablet-specific features.

Audio

In terms of audio, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos tuning. It is also Hi-Res and Hi-Res Wireless certified for a premium audio experience. However, Xiaomi hasn't installed a 3.5mm headphone jack on this tablet.

Battery

Fueling the tablet is a sizeable 8600mAh battery. The company claims 16+ hours of video playback and over 10 hours of gaming here, but under normal usage, you can expect somewhere between 8 – 10 hours of screen-on time. It supports 67W fast charging, while Xiaomi provides a compatible power brick inside the box itself.

Others

Finally, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has three cameras in total—two on the front and one at the back. The rear camera uses a 50MP sensor capable of shooting up to 4K 30 fps videos, and a 2MP depth sensing unit. Whereas the 20MP front camera maxes out at 1080p 30 fps recordings. Moving on, this tablet doesn't have cellular connectivity or a built-in navigation (GPS) system. Security-wise, there's no fingerprint reader here—physical or optical too. In the international market, you can also get official stylus and keyboard accessories. We'll have to see if Xiaomi Nepal launches this tab alongside the accessories as well.
