Realme 13 5G launched in India with a Dimensity chip and a design overhaul!

Realme had already filled in the spots for its 13 series with a base device, and some pro models, but it seems like the company is eager to step it up with yet another Realme 13. This time around, its the Realme 13 5G powered by a MediaTek Dimensity instead of one of Qualcomm’s offerings. In this short article, let’s glance at the Realme 13 5G specs and features, its expected price in Nepal, and availability details. 

Realme 13 5G Overview

Design and Display 

Starting with the dimensions, the new Realme device is slightly bigger and sleeker than its 4G sibling. The back also loses its dial-like module and mid-strap aesthetic from the previous 13 and 13 pro smartphones and embraces a new dual-tone marble look. Realme 13 5G is available in two color options: Speed Green and Dark Purple, although the latter leans more towards a black colorway. On the front, the display is a slightly larger 6.72-inch FHD+ screen but Realme has decided to ditch OLED in the 5G version. So, it's an IPS screen running at up to 120Hz with a typical brightness of 580 nits.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Realme 13 5G steps it up with a faster Dimesnity 6300 processor with a 5G modem. The MediaTek chip with its dual A76 cores and six A55s is a noticeable improvement over the Snapdragon 685 in the Realme 13 4G. It's based on a 6nm manufacturing node and can clock up to 2.4 GHz. The smartphone boots on Android 14-based realme UI 5.0 and will likely be supported until Android 16.  For the memory side of things, you can either get the base 8/128GB option or the 256GB variant with the same amount of RAM.

Cameras and Battery 

The rear of the Realme 13 5G houses a 50MP shooter complemented by an unspecified secondary lens. The primary has an aperture of f/1.8 and supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for videos too (2k res). Flipping to the other side, the 16MP selfie cam is housed in the punch hole.

The Realme smartphone takes its juice from a 5000 mAh cell inside. And surprisingly, the company has decided to downgrade the fast charging capabilities from 67W in the 4G version to just 45W here.
