The Realme P4 Lite 5G is a rebranded Realme C83 with a mosaic back!

Realme has launched the P4 Lite 5G in India, and if the specs feel familiar, that's because they should. This is actually the rebrand of Realme C83 5G, announced earlier this month, but with a mosaic back design and a new name. Let's get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Realme P4 Lite 5G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Realme P4 Lite 5G Overview
Design and Build

Realme has been doing this for a while now, launching the same hardware under different names for different segments of its lineup. This phone is also a rebrand of the C83, which launched in India recently. The only meaningful difference is the back panel, which replaces the C83's material with a mosaic-patterned finish in Mosaic Green or Mosaic Blue. Following that, the frame and back are both plastic, as expected at this price, and the phone measures 166.3 x 78.1 x 8.4mm at 212g.
However, i will give the P4 Lite some edge because the mosaic finish is actually a decent look for a budget phone. It gives the P4 Lite 5G a more distinctive identity than most plastic-backed budget phones that go with either a gradient or a plain matte surface. Similarly, you get an IP64 rating, which covers light splashes and dust, which is common in budget phones these days. The phone also gets the MIL-STD-810H certification, but Realme is also upfront that this doesn't guarantee ruggedness in extreme conditions.
Display

Moving on, the budget phone features a fairly large 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 900 nits of peak brightness, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The high refresh rate is appealing for a budget device, and the brightness is decent as well. However, the resolution is limited to HD+ (1570 × 720), which results in a pixel density of around 254 ppi on a screen this size. This makes the display appear noticeably soft and may affect the viewing experience if you're expecting sharp visuals. That said, despite the lack of crispness in text and media, the display is still perfectly usable, and most people likely won’t notice the difference.
Performance
The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6300, a 6nm chipset from MediaTek featuring an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It’s the same chip used in the Realme C83 and has also become a go-to option for Samsung in the budget segment. At this price, it handles everyday tasks, social media, streaming, and light gaming quite well, but it’s not the kind of chip you’d choose for heavy performance.
The more concerning detail for a phone launching in 2026 is the use of eMMC 5.1 storage across all variants. UFS 2.1 or 2.2 is now the baseline expectation in this price range, and eMMC 5.1 is noticeably slower when it comes to app installations, large file transfers, and cold boot times. The Realme C83 5G shares the same limitation. As for memory and storage, the phone goes up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card using the shared SIM slot.

Camera
The rear camera setup includes a single 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of recording up to 1080p at 30fps, and is paired with an LED flash. While the spec sheet suggests a dual-camera layout, the second lens is not a functional camera. This isn’t unique to Realme, though; many brands have been doing this for quite some time.
On the front, there’s a 5MP shooter, which at least gets the job done. As expected, the cameras are only decent for basic photography, especially in good lighting. The 13MP sensor can produce usable results, but low-light performance, zoom, and overall reliability are essentially out of the question.
Battery and Charging
One excellent thing about this phone is the 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. But even so, 7000 mAh phones have become such a norm these days; they are rarely grabbing headlines. Still, Realme claims the battery health holds up for six years of daily use. But there’s also a trade-off, and that is the 15W charging. A 7,000mAh battery at 15W takes a long time to charge from flat. Realme includes the charger in the box, and bypass charging is supported, but it’s going to be frustrating in day-to-day use. For connectivity, the options are quite typical, including 5G, Wi-Fi 5 dual-band, Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD and LHDC 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
