TECNO has unveiled its latest foldable concept on MWC 2025, the PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold featuring a unique and company first dual inward folding tri-fold design. The device unfolds to reveal a 9.94-inch display while maintaining durability through a custom hinge mechanism made by Techno. Built and Design
For the build, the PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold uses a tri-fold design that folds inward twice to protect its flexible display when its closed. It features a dual-hinge design that allows the device to fold without leaving any gap when closed . A separate cover screen handles all basic tasks without requiring the main display to be opened.
When opened, the device measures only 3.49mm thick and when folded its just 11.49mm. Materials like high-strength steel are used for the hinge and a thin Titan Fiber back panel are used to keep the weight down without compromising the durability. The device can also stay open at different angles which can be useful for tasks like video calls or watching content.
Hinge Design
Okey now talking about the hing , the PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold uses a dual hinge mechanism to manage its tri-fold design. One hinge is a smaller waterdrop hinge that folds a section inward while the second is a larger hinge that folds the remaining part allowing the device to close without visible gaps.

Record-Breaking Slim Profile & High-End Hardware
One of the highligh of theThe PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold is that its measures just 3.49mm when fully opened and 11.49mm when folded making it the slimmest tri-fold foldable announced so far.
While detailed hardware specifications are still unknown, TECNO has confirmed that the concept device will feature a triple-camera system, a capable chipset, and a battery of over 5000mAh.
