Vivo V30 Pro launched with Dimensity 8200 and Sony IMX920 camera

Vivo launched two phones in the Vivo V30 series, in the form of V30 Lite and V30 itself, a while ago. And now we have the Pro version: the Vivo V30 Pro. Powered by a Dimensity 8200, this smartphone gets a Sony IMX 920 primary camera that has a Zeiss optics coating. In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, and expected price of the Vivo V30 Pro in Nepal.

The key USP of the Vivo V30 Pro lies in the camera department. Arriving with four 50MP sensors onboard, the primary sensor is a Sony IMX920 sensor with OIS with a Samsung JN1 ultra-wide unit and a Sony INX816 telephoto portrait lens. Last but not least is a 50MP selfie snapper upfront. What’s even better is the Zeiss collaboration, which is usually found on the flagship Vivo phones such as the X Series. As such, you get a Zeiss-style portrait, Natural Color, and Border Watermark features on this guy.

Mediatek Dimensity 8200

Under the hood, the Vivo V30 Pro packs a fairly powerful Mediatek Dimensity 8200 SoC. This 4nm fabbed chip has a prime Cortex A78 at 3100 MHz, three Cortex A78 at 3000 MHz, and four Cortex A55 at 2000 MHz. Handling the graphics here is a Mali-G610 MP6 GPU. To compare, this silicon offers better performance than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 used on the Vivo V30, maintaining the gap between the two.

Vivo has paired the chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. On the software front, it boots on FuntouchOS 14 built on top of Android 14.

Design and Display

In terms of design, the Vivo V30 Pro looks a lot like its vanilla V30 sibling. You get a squarish camera module here too but with Zeiss branding. Meanwhile, the front side and the middle frame are very identical. The device flaunts a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with curved edges. And the resolution on the Vivo V30 Pro measures 1,260 x 2,800 pixels while the refresh rate is 120Hz.

The Vivo V30 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W of charging support. Connectivity options here with 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, you get an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics security.
