Vivo in Nepal

Vivo now sells three series in Nepal: Y, S, and V-series. The company hasn’t launched its online Z-series and U-series phones in Nepal yet. Its pricing strategy in Nepal is quite similar to that of India because of the offline sales-based strategy. Vivo arrived in Nepal in late 2017 with the launch of the Vivo V7.

Officially imported by two distributors – Cellucity and Apex Manakamana, Vivo became quite popular among youths because of its focus on the camera. Moreover, Vivo offers 0% EMI on smartphones above Rs. 15,000. The company also organizes Sales Carnival every year where they offer huge discounts and freebies on every smartphone purchase.

Vivo mobile phones can be purchased in Nepal via two channels: offline and online. For offline, there are over 500+ mobile retail shops, whereas you can buy them online on Daraz and Sastodeal. Similarly, you can repair your Vivo mobile at the best price from its service center located at CTC Mall, Kathmandu. You can check the price of Vivo spare parts here.

The most noteworthy feature of the device is its big battery. The phone packs a humongous 5000mAh battery. Given the massive battery and a low-res (HD+) 6.35-inch display, its battery is really enduring. It lasts for two days or more on normal use. However, the phone ships with a 10-watt charger, which takes quite a while to get the device fully charged.

9. Vivo Y53s

Y53s is yet another mid-range phone in Vivo Nepal’s arsenal. At Rs. 34,999, this phone brings a severely underwhelming spec-sheet—thereby making it one of the most overpriced mid-range phones in Nepal. First off, Vivo Y53s is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset which can be found in phones half its price like the POCO M2 Reloaded.

Vivo Y53s Deep Sea Blue

Similarly, Y53s doesn’t bring an AMOLED screen or a higher refresh rate either. Vivo has settled for a 6.58″ Full HD LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The company has been quite generous on the memory front as the phone is available in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.

The disappointments continue in the camera department as well. You get a triple camera array with a 64MP primary (with EIS), a 2MP macro, and a 2MP monochrome camera. Yes, you read that right—Vivo Y53s doesn’t have an ultrawide lens. Fueling the phone is a 5000mAh battery with 18W flash charging.

The biggest difference between V20 and the SE is the processor. Here, the latter is powered by Snapdragon 665 whereas the regular Vivo V20 features Snapdragon 720G. This has been complemented with 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage—while the phone runs on Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.

Moving on, its 48MP primary camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens. The latter also doubles as a macro camera. The third lens in the setup is a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter. The 4,100mAh battery in the V20 SE supports 33W flash charging. vivo v19 global variant price specs features

Similarly, the primary 48MP camera can capture good photos. There’s also a fast and reliable in-display fingerprint scanner. The design of the phone is also quite good.
