Vivo X300 Ultra is coming soon with a new 200MP periscope telephoto lens

After the successful launch of the Vivo X300 Pro, one of the best camera phones, the company is set to ship its ultra-flagship on the rumored March 30 date. And as always, the rumor mills have already started spilling the beans, and the latest one reveals that the device will feature a 5MP custom multispectral camera for improved colour accuracy. Here in this piece of news, we'll discuss all the rumors and leaks surrounding the Vivo X300 Ultra.

Vivo X300 Ultra Rumors:

Design and Display

According to DCS, a famous Weibo tipster, the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra will switch to a flat metal frame with sharp edges and a full-glass body. The big circular camera is here to stay, though. Meanwhile, Vivo is removing the dedicated action button, which was present on its predecessor, the X200 Ultra. Further leaks suggest this phone may come in Black, Silver, and Red finishes.

Talking about the display, the Vivo X300 Ultra might use a flat BOE LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, delivering sharper images, vibrant colors, and clear text while watching videos and playing high-definition games. Apart from this, you might get a dynamic switch in refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz.

Performance

Under the hood, the X300 Ultra will get its horsepower from Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, present in other flagship devices such as the S26 Ultra. It has two prime cores at 4.65 MHz and six cores at 3.62 MHz, offering serious performance for gaming and daily tasks alike. For graphics processing, you get an Adreno 840 paired with a custom octa-core processor. Regarding memory, you will receive 12/16 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB UFS 4.1 of internal storage. Apart from this, Vivo is all set to bring 16GB/1TB variant with satellite communication support. 

On the other hand, the smartphone will boot on OriginOS 6 built on top of Android 16. Building on past experience with Vivo, we can expect up to 4 major Android version upgrades and 5 years of security updates. 

Camera and Others

Cameras have always been a key feature of the X-Series phone, and this Ultra phone will carry on the legacy. Rumors indicate it will include a 200MP Sony LYTIA-901 main sensor paired with a 50MP LYTIA-828 ultrawide sensor, which was previously used as the X300 Pro's main sensor. This phone also has a 200MP ISOCELL HP0 prerescope telephoto unit along with a 5MP multi-spectral sensor, which will improve colour accuracy. This camera setup will help to create high-quality content, such as recording 4K videos at 120 fps and 8K videos at 30 fps. Likewise, the OIS in the camera will help you capture high-quality images in low light and also provide video stabilization. 

And leaks have also further revealed details about the Vivo X300 Ultra’s imaging system. This time, the Vivo X300 Ultra comes with a 35mm telephoto lens that can convert to 200mm and 400mm optical zoom, as per your requirement. 

Vivo also officially revealed a sample birdwatching photo taken with the X300 Ultra at different apertures. From the sample, we can see that despite having a smaller aperture than the X200 Ultra, the 200MP sensor maintains high light sensitivity and image quality.

In addition, some reports suggest that the Vivo X300 Ultra will feature a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 front-facing camera with autofocus. And the good news is that, beyond China, the handset is expected to launch globally, as it has already received certifications in Europe and Indonesia.

Battery and Others

Based on leaks from the Vivo X300 Ultra, we expect it to pack a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon Li-ion battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. Which should provide superb endurance, we can expect. Along with this, Vivo might come with reverse wired and wireless charging. Apart from this, Vivo might revamp the audio quality of the X300 Ultra by using four microphones. You might get AI isolation and ANC features in this phone. If rumors of these upgrades are true, then your music experience will be remarkably fuller and better.
