A new midrange phone from Vivo has been launched in India. Dubbed the Vivo Y51 Pro, this mid-range device boasts a Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC and a huge 7200mAh battery, serving as a successor to the Vivo Y31 Pro. In this article, I will cover all details, including the Vivo Y51 Pro expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Design and Display

In terms of design, this phone features a glass front, a plastic frame, and a plastic back, weighing around 219g. According to the company, it offers an IP68/IP69 rating and has undergone multi-angle drop tests from a height of 1.7m. So, it is pretty sorted on the durability side. Likewise, you can choose between two shades of the Vivo Y51 Pro: Festive Red and Noble Gold.

Talking about the display, it flaunts a 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 720 x 1570-pixel resolution, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, you get 1250-nit brightness for outdoor use and TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification to reduce flickering during extended use.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, you get a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC built on a 4nm process in the Vivo Y51 Pro, which replaces the Vivo Y31 Pro's MediaTek Dimensity 7300. It has four Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.5 and 2.0 GHz, respectively. This phone also has a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for graphics processing. All this is paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Talking about the software, the Vivo Y51 Pro runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6, which is a much better version of FunTouch 15 used in the previous series.
