After the success of Nova 5G by Ai+, Ai+ is back with its entry-level budget phone, Nova 2 5G. alongside Nova Flip 5G and Nova 2 Ultra 5G. This phone comes with a Unisoc T8200 SoC, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 6,000 mAh battery. In this article, I will discuss every detail about this phone, including the Ai+Nova 2 5G expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Ai+Nova 2 5G Overview

Design and Display

To start with the design, the Ai+Nova 2 5G uses a plastic build with a matte finish. In the back, it has a square camera island with a dual-lens setup and an LED flash that looks way better than the Nova 5 G's camera module. Similarly, up front, it has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. It comes with the IP64 rating and is available in Emerald Green, lavender, Blue, Black, and Sakura Pink finishes.

Talking about the display, Ai+Nova 2 5G features a 6.74-inch LCD with HD+ resolution. This HD+ resolution is what we saw on the Nova 5G last year, so we're expecting an upgrade this year, which is kind of disappointing. The 120Hz refresh rate should offer far smoother performance than the 90Hz refresh rate we saw last year.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, Ai+Nova 2 5G comes with UniTsoc T8200 chip built on a 6nm processor. With this processor, your casual work, such as watching videos and scrolling social media, should go pretty well. But if you play games like PUBG, then this chip may not meet your gaming expectations. Furthermore, you get 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. And if you need more storage, you can expand up to 1TB with a microSD card.

Moving on to the software, Ai+Nova 2 5G runs on nxtQ OS based on Android 16, offering quite good overall software performance. We are also expecting one major OS update and 1 year of security upgrades with this phone.

Camera and Battery

Talking about the optics, you can see quite an upgrade in the Ai+Nova 2 5G compared to its predecessors. It comes with a 50MP rear camera and a secondary sensor on the back, offering 4K video recording at 30 fps. You also get an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

In terms of battery, this phone packs a 6000mAh battery that Ai+ claims will last more than a day with casual use. Furthermore, this phone supports 18W fast charging to quickly top up your device. For connectivity, it also has Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5.
