The 2024 iMac now includes Apple’s M4 chip, offering faster performance compared to previous models. The CPU includes up to 10 cores—4 for performance and 6 for efficiency—making it 1.7 times faster than the original M1 and 1.3 times quicker than the M3, specifically in tasks like Excel processing. Additionally, the 10-core GPU is twice as fast as the M1 and 1.1 times faster than the M3, particularly for gaming purposes.
