BenQ has introduced a new ultra-short-throw (UST) laser projector, the LU895UST, in Europe and the United States. And if you are looking for a small projector that can be ideal for spaces that need large visuals but have limited installation space. In that case, I think this article (and the projector) might just be for you because this guy packs high brightness into a compact body. Now, let's get into the details.

      BenQ LU895UST Overview

      Display and Design

      undefined

One of the most practical and perhaps best aspects of the LU895UST is easily its compact size. Since it has a very small footprint, it will certainly make ceiling or wall installation easy. The UST design of this projector also reduces installation challenges while still delivering massive, clear images.

The LU895UST offers WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200) and a throw ratio of 0.253:1, meaning it can project up to 200 inches from just a few centimeters away from the wall. It covers 93% of Rec.709, which, in other words, means that it can reproduce accurate colors for simulation, educational, or exhibition setups. You are also getting other features like “picture modes”, which include simulation, HDR10, and sRGB. Now, finally talking about brightness, you are also looking at a laser projector with 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. In other words, it is bright enough for well-lit rooms or spaces where large visuals are required without darkening the environment.

      Connectivity

BenQ has included HDMI 2.0b ports ×2 (with HDCP 2.2), RJ45 for network control, and USB-A. You can also use the projector without using an additional speaker, as it includes a built-in 10W speaker for basic audio.

The projector is “blending-ready”, which means it can be used in multi-projector setups. It also supports 2D keystone correction and extra alignment tools to stitch images cleanly. T

BenQ LU895UST Price in Nepal and Availability

The LU895UST is priced at Euro 3,999 in Europe and USD 4,799 in the US. I don't expect this projector to come any time soon here in Nepal, but anyway, if it ever makes it here, it will cost no less than 7 lakh rupees.
