New Laptop Price in Nepal

New laptops keep arriving in Nepal, and 2026 has brought a lot of fresh choices. Whether you want something slim for college, a powerful machine for work or a gaming laptop, there is likely a brand-new model that fits.

Apple has refreshed its MacBook lineup with new chips and the new MacBook Neo. Lenovo and Asus have added new thin-and-light and OLED models, and Dell and Acer have also brought in newer options.

So, what do you get from a newer laptop? Mostly newer processors, better displays and a fresher design. Many of the 2026 models come with the latest Intel Core Ultra or Ryzen AI chips, and OLED screens are becoming much more common.

The catch is the price. Newer laptops cost more than older models, and with memory prices going up, new launches are not getting cheaper. Prices and stock on fresh models can also change quickly after launch. So if you spot one you like, check the buy link for the latest price before you order.

Not sure you need the newest model? A slightly older laptop can give you great value at a lower price. And if you want to see everything in one place, you can browse every laptop we cover on our laptops page.

Cheap, Midrange, Gaming and Premium Laptops in Nepal

Laptops in Nepal can be sorted into four groups by price and specs: entry-level, midrange, gaming and premium. All the major brands, including Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Apple, have models in each group.

Let’s start with entry-level laptops, which cost up to around Rs. 1 lakh. Prices begin below Rs. 60,000 with basic Celeron and N100 processors and 8GB RAM. As you move up, you get Core i3 and Ryzen 3 models, and closer to Rs. 1 lakh you can find Ryzen 5 laptops and even 16GB RAM. These laptops rarely have a dedicated graphics card, so they are best for study, browsing and office work.

The midrange runs from about Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh, and it is where most buyers find the best balance. You will see 16GB RAM, newer Intel Core Ultra and Ryzen AI processors, OLED screens and thin ultrabook designs. Ultrabooks are a great pick if you commute every day, since they are light and have good battery life.

Gaming laptops are very popular among young buyers. Entry-level models with RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 graphics start from around Rs. 1.5 lakh, and newer RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 models start closer to Rs. 1.8 to 2.2 lakh. At the very top, flagship laptops with RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 graphics can reach close to Rs. 10 lakh. Lenovo, Acer, Asus and HP all have gaming lineups.

Premium ultrabooks focus on design, display and build quality. You get slim, gorgeous laptops with powerful processors, and many come with touch screens or 2-in-1 designs, which makes them a good fit for creators and professionals. The Apple MacBook, Dell XPS, Asus Zenbook and Acer Swift are popular choices, with prices starting from around Rs. 1.35 lakh.

Their processor and graphics power is a bit lower than a gaming laptop’s, but the design and build feel more premium.

Where to Buy Laptops at the Best Price in Nepal?

So, you have picked a laptop. The next question is where to buy it from, and that matters almost as much as the laptop itself.

In Nepal, laptops are sold through both official and unofficial channels. Unofficial sellers can sometimes offer a lower price, and that can be tempting, especially when you are on a tight budget. But a cheaper price does not always mean a better deal. If something goes wrong, you may find it hard to get repairs, genuine parts or a warranty claim.

That is why we usually suggest buying from an authorized distributor. You get a genuine product, a proper warranty and better after-sales support, which is worth a lot when you plan to use the laptop for years. A small saving today can turn into a big headache later.

Still, many buyers choose unofficial sellers, and that is a choice you can make. Just go in with your eyes open and know the limits that come with it:

• No official brand warranty. Any cover usually comes from the seller, not the brand, and it can be shorter or harder to claim.
• Limited after-sales support. Brand service centers may not repair a grey laptop, and genuine parts can take longer to find.
• Refurbished or used units. Some grey laptops are not brand new, so ask the seller directly.
• Differences in the box. Check the charger, the keyboard layout and the ports before you leave the shop.
• Little to fall back on. If the seller closes shop or refuses to help, you have few options, so keep every bill and message.

If you accept these limits and the price is right, a grey laptop can still be a good deal.

Not sure where to start? You can browse hundreds of laptops on Gadgetbyte, each with a buy link, and compare prices in one place instead of going from shop to shop. If you are stuck between two models, our compare tool can help you see them side by side.

Whichever shop you choose, take a minute before you pay. Make sure the model and specs match what you wanted, ask for the bill and warranty card, and check that the seller is one you can trust. A little care at the counter saves a lot of trouble later.

How Much to Spend on a Laptop in Nepal?

It all comes down to what you need. Here is a simple guide:

• School and basic use: Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1 lakh is enough for study, browsing and online classes.
• Office work and college projects: these need more processing power, so look at a Core i5 or Ryzen 5 laptop, roughly Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh.
• Gaming: pick a laptop with RTX graphics, which start from around Rs. 1.5 lakh.
• Content creation: a premium ultrabook with a great display is a good fit, from around Rs. 2 lakh.

Check the specs first and match them to your needs, then look at the price.
