Canon EOS R100 Debuts in Nepal with 24MP Sensor and 4K Video

Canon has launched the EOS R100 mirrorless camera in Nepal. It is targeted at beginners and comes with RF mount support. The camera is available in multiple kit options. This article will discuss the latest Canon EOS R100, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Canon EOS R100 Overview

Entry-level mirrorless camera with RF mount

The Canon EOS R100 is an entry-level mirrorless camera that supports RF and RF-S mount lenses. It uses a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor. It also supports ISO up to 12800 and shutter speeds ranging from 30 seconds to 1/4000 sec. It has a built-in flash and a hot shoe for external flash.

Kit options

The base kit includes the camera body and RF-S 18–45mm f/4.5–6.3 IS STM lens. Additionally, users can choose other kits: one includes both RF-S 18–45mm and RF-S 55–210mm lenses. Another kit includes the RF 16mm f/2.8 STM lens and webcam accessories. All kits come with a battery, charger, and strap. However, an SD card is not included.

Autofocus and lens support

The autofocus system uses contrast detection. It includes tracking, spot, 1-point AF, and zone AF modes. Furthermore, it supports 3,975 AF points for photos and 3,375 for videos. The kit lens has a digital-only stabilization system.

Video recording and display

The camera records 4K UHD videos at 24fps. Full HD recording is available at up to 59.94fps. In addition, 4K mode must be manually selected from the dial. The display includes a 3-inch fixed LCD and a 0.39-inch OLED viewfinder.
